Madonna shares a rare photo of all 6 of her children celebrating Thanksgiving together
To celebrate Thanksgiving musician, Madonna shared a rare image of all her six children. The family celebrated the special day in Malawi, Africa.
In the caption of the Instagram photo, the singer shared that she was most thankful for her children. She also revealed how they’d led her down roads she wouldn’t have imagined.
The Instagram picture which was uploaded by Madonna, 60, on Thursday showed all her six of her children. They are Lourdes, Rocco, David, Mercy, and twins Estere and Stella.
According to the caption of the photo, they spent the holiday together as a family in Malawi. Lourdes father is the singer’s ex-boyfriend Carlos Leon while Rocco’s father is Madonna’s ex-husband Guy Ritchie.

They were adopted in 2006, 2007, and 2017, respectively. The caption for her post revealed how much the six children meant to her.
She wrote:
“What I am Most THANKFUL for! My Children have led me down roads and opened doors I never imagined I’d walk through.”
Madonna concluded her post by writing:
“Fame , Fortune and Records Broken could never equal that which I treasure and value most. #blessed, #grateful, #children and #family. Happy ThanksGiving from Malawi!”
In 2006, the musician founded the charity Raising Malawi. She and her children have visited the country on a number of occasions since.
Madonna and her children visited the orphanages where David and Mercy used to live in July 2016.
The following year, the star and five of the children visited Malawi for the opening of the Mercy James Institute for Pediatric Surgery and Intensive Care at the Queen Central Hospital.
Her organization had helped to fund the hospital. This July, the family visited the hospital to celebrate its one-year anniversary.
Madonna spoke to "Vogue Italia” in about her children saying:
“Because of my work and traveling around the world, the things that I do and the places I find myself in, my children are very open-minded about everything, and I’m very proud of that.”
She added:
“A lot of people say to me, ‘You must really want your son to be a successful soccer player, your oldest daughter to be a dancer, Rocco to be a painter.’ And I always say, ‘No, what I want my children to be is loving, compassionate, responsible human beings.'”
