Robert De Niro splits from wife after 2 decades of marriage
Robert De Niro has split from his wife, Grace Hightower, to whom he was married for the past twenty years.
The famous Hollywood actor and Hightower had previously filed for divorce, back in 1999, but the divorce was never finalized because they were able to talk things through.
As reported by Page Six, the pair is no longer living together and the actor has been appearing solo at several events, which didn't happen when they were together.

According to the news outlet, the two had been going through a rough time since the end of summer, which ultimately led to the split.
De Niro and Hightower, who was once a flight attendant, met in 1987 while she was working at the famous Mr. Chow restaurant, in London.
TWO DECADES OF SIDE BY SIDE
The couple tied the knot in 1997 after spending 10 years dating and share two children: 20-year-old son Elliott and 6-year-old daughter Helen Grace.
As previously mentioned, they almost divorced in 1999, but their relationship survived, so much that they renewed their vows in 2004 in front of friends such as Martin Scorsese, Meryl Streep and Ben Stiller.
DE NIRO'S CHILDREN
The last time they appeared together in public was in June, when they attended the 72nd Annual Tony Awards in New York City. But despite life's ups and downs, De Niro has grown to learn to embrace every moment.
Even though his 20-year-old marriage has come to an end, the 75-year-old still has his children to worry about, and not just Elliott and Helen Grace, but also 47-year-old Drena, 42-year-old Raphael and 23-year-old twins Julian and Aaron, all from past relationships.
THE BOMB EPISODE
It has been a rough month for De Niro; besides splitting from his wife, the actor was one of the people, along with Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, to receive a suspicious package in the mail.

The package has similar markings as pipe bomb packages recently mailed nationwide to top Democrats https://t.co/QlTZIibpvp pic.twitter.com/hCmbx6BRCR
The packages were believed to be explosive devices and they were sent to several individuals, curiously all prominent Democrats and some of Donald Trump's greatest opponents. Fortunately, nothing bad happened to those who received the packages.
