Masses of mourners attended Kim Porter’s funeral on the Cascades Hills Church in Columbus, Georgia. A picture, shown below, from the day showed a forlorn Diddy sitting at her graveside set the tone for the day.
The 49-year-old rapper has openly shared his heartbreak since the news of Kim's death broke. Her unexpected death had come as a surprise to everyone who knew her.
After her death, Diddy confessed that he and the late Kim Porter were soulmates. He went on to say that he thinks that they were even more than just soulmates.

At the funeral, a distraught Diddy sat next to her grave. From his reaction to the news of her death, fans knew that the day of Kim's final journey was always going to be an emotional and painful day for Diddy.

A group of celebrities joined the rest of the mourners at Porter's funeral. Diddy gave a heartfelt eighteen-minute long eulogy at the service.
His eulogy touched on the first time he saw her. He also continued to discuss how she helped him deal with his brush with depression earlier this year.

Other celebrities also shared tear-jerking tributes to Porter. Mary J. Blige and Dallas Austin also offered words of condolence.
Yolanda Adams and Faith Evans paid musical tribute to the 47-year-old model and actress. Porter was laid to rest in a golden casket and the procession left the funeral home to the 'What's Going On' by Marvin Gaye.

“God broke the mold when he made Kim, there was truly no other woman like her. Although her time here on earth was far too short, she lived a life full of purpose and meaning. She was a loving mother and devoted friend. She was the epitome of kindness and grace. There wasn’t a person she met who’s soul she did not touch. Kim was the type of woman who changed lives for the better. She will be forever remembered and missed by so many. As her family, we promise to honor her every day of our lives. We love you always.” said the Porter, Goodwin and Combs families in a press statement.

The model and actress is buried in her hometown. Her grave is next to her mum in Evergreen Memorial Park.
After the service, mourners including Usher joined Diddy on the cemetery lawn. They watched a fireworks show which was set up to commemorate Porter's life.

On November 15, 2018, Porter had been discovered unresponsive in her California home. A family member called 911.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office had responded to a death investigation in Toluca Lake at 11:40 am. They found the forty-seven-year-old model and actress laying unresponsive and pronounced her dead on the scene.

Her death was completely unexpected. She led a healthy lifestyle and was only receiving private medical care for the flu.
Investigators were confused as to what caused her death. While the cause of death remains unknown, officials do not believe there was any foul play or substance abuse.

She lives on through her son Quincy Brown and three children, Christian, 20, and 11-year-old twin daughters D'Lila Star and Jessie James whom she shares with her ex-boyfriend, Diddy.
