Cardi B announces split from husband Offset after a year of marriage in recent video

Cardi B is blowing up the internet with a shocking announcement that she and her rapper husband, Offset have called it quits after one year of marriage. She’s also talking about her plans for the future.

Cardi, 26, took to Instagram about eight hours ago to update fans about her and Offset’s marriage. In the clip where she appears topless, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper began:

“So everybody been bugging me and everything and you know I’ve been trying to work things out with my baby father for a hot minute now and you know we’re really good friends and you know we’re really good business partners. He’s always somebody that I run to to talk to, and we got a lot of love for each other but things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time.”

“It’s nobody fault I guess we just grew out of love but we are not together anymore,” Cardi continued. “I don’t know it might take time to get a divorce and I’m going to always have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter’s father.”

The rapper captioned the video:

“There you go... peace and love.”

Cardi’s post already has over five million views, and fans are freaking out over the news in the comment section. Many social media users believe the former “Love & Hip Hop: New York” star is joking as she’s been known to pull pranks on social media in the past.

“I really don’t believe this. I’m waiting for the prank reveal,” said one user.

Another person observed:

“Cmon guys, it’s clearly fake. She is way to [sic] calm when talking about it and they were happy in love on stage really recently. I’m just waiting for the ‘SIKE!’ video. They did not split. She would not have been this calm when saying stuff about divorce. His album is coming soon and she knows damn well all of bardigang would purposely not stream his album, she wouldn’t do that to him.”

Cardi and offset -- whose real name is Kiari Cephus -- tied the knot secretly in September 2017 and welcomed their daughter, Kulture Kiari Cephus, on July 10, 2018.

Although their relationship has been plagued with several infidelity scandals on the part of Offset, he and Cardi have always looked like a tight unit.

A few days ago, she still shared a photo of herself and Offset kissing at a game, and another video of the Migos rapper, 26, goofing around at home.

Guess we’ll just have to wait this one out to see if Cardi is pulling our legs or not
