'I feel ashamed' Offset's alleged mistress apologizes to Cardi B after couple announces split

A woman has come forward apologizing for playing a role in Cardi B and Offset's split. She claims she had relations with the Migos rapper before the birth of his daughter with Cardi and now feels ashamed.

It seems there’s more story to tell surrounding Cardi B and Offset’s split. A woman has come forward apologizing to Cardi for having an affair with her husband during their marriage.

“I would like to her know that I’m a very genuine person and I’m not here to break up her family or mess up what she has going on with her husband.

THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE SPLIT

Cardi B recently surprised fans when she announced her split with Offset after one year of marriage. The singer took to social media and released a video (which has now been taken down) explaining her side.

“I've been trying to work things out with my baby father for a hot minute now and we're really good friends and you know we're really good business partners. He's always somebody that I run to to talk to and we got a lot of love for each other but things just haven't been working out between us for a long time and it's nobody's fault."

She added,

"I guess we grew out of love, but we're not together anymore.”

REMORSEFUL WOMAN COMES FORWARD

Shortly after, a model named Summer Bunni came forward to TMZ remorseful at possibly playing a role in the couple’s split. Summer revealed Offset cheated on Cardi with her before the birth of the couple’s daughter, Kulture. She also claims the Migos member encouraged a threesome with rapper Cuban Doll. She insists, though, that she wasn’t aware he was serious with Cardi at the time.

“I have not messed with Offset since he’s had his baby,” Summer told TMZ. “I didn’t know how serious this marriage was,” she adds.

“A lot of girls would just deal with this situation and just be like, ‘Yo, I’m the reason they’re getting a divorce,” she laments, but admits, “I feel ashamed.”

“It’s a lot, but just coming from me and to Cardi and to our fans, to her family to her situation, these were never my intentions and I never wanted to break up a happy home.”

Summer clarifies that she hasn’t spoken directly to Cardi but expresses how genuine her intentions are.

“I would like to her know that I’m a very genuine person and I’m not here to break up her family or mess up what she has going on with her husband. I’m very sorry that this has happened and I’m very sorry that I didn’t think about my worth as a young lady, and I just hope that she can overcome this.”

She concludes by saying,

“I know that her and Offset do have love for each other — I can tell — so I just hope that with this she can just focus on her love for Offset.”

AN OPEN LETTER RESPONDING TO TEXT SCREENSHOTS

Several screenshots of text messages between her and Offset planning a threesome emerged on social media soon after. Summer responded with an open letter on Instagram.

“Goodmorning, a quick letter to the fans, followers and social media outlets.During this last 48 hours, I haven’t enjoyed the social media frenzy. not only is it draining but humbling.

“I will always be woman enough to admit when I’m wrong, and in this situation I was. Seeing another woman’s pain does not bring me any joy, nor do I think it’s funny. I’ve always been for women supporting each other but in this situation, not only myself but others have failed.

“I separated myself from certain situations and people for a reason. This is not a letter for sympathy but acknowledgment to everyone whom has questions. Going into 2019 focused and dedicated to becoming a better me. Thank y’all – summer.”

THE FIRST FULL-FACE PHOTO OF KULTURE

Offset has not released a statement in response to Summer’s apology and neither has Cardi. Instead, the “I Like It” rapper drew attention to her daughter by sharing her first full-face photo on Instagram. The singer finally revealed Kulture’s face after months of keeping her away from the public eye. The 4-month-old is a spitting image of her mother and fans were thrilled to finally see how adorable she is.
