Jennifer Lopez's mom hit on the head by intrusive fan on the street

Jennifer Lopez's mother did not get a good birthday present from a fan of her daughter who elbowed her in the face.

Guadalupe Rodriguez stepped out with her famous daughter on Wednesday in what would turn out to be an injurious affair.

As the two walked the streets of New York outside Sirius Radio, fans flocked around them hoping to get an autograph from the famous singer.

The 49-year-old, wearing a long red fur coat, turns back quickly after noticing that Guadalupe has been hit.

The poor woman put her hand to her face which is grimaced in pain. An eager autograph seeker apparently hit her head accidentally in his efforts.

Lopez comforts her mother with a protective arm, clearly disturbed by what has happened. The fact that it was her mother's birthday gave the situation a more bitter taste.

The two continue on as security guards attempt to clear the way. But the damage was already done. The frown behind Lopez's red-tinted aviator sunglasses gave away her feelings about the ordeal.

Usually, though, the "Selena" star is wearing a toothy smile as she continues her relationship with Alex Rodriguez.

The pair has been dating for two years now but has yet to tie the knot. It makes sense since the "Dinero" singer has already been married thrice and is no rush this time around.

In one interview she said that the two "think about getting married... it will happen naturally when and if it's supposed to."

The "Jenny from the Block" singer called her latest relationship a "mature" love thanks to both of their experiences and wisdom.

Lopez has twins from her last marriage to singer Marc Anthony. Rodriguez also has two daughters from his marriage to Cynthia Scurtis.

For now, Lopez says that she there is nothing "better than the four of them getting along as they do."

Although back in July the "Limitless" singer spotted a large rock on her finger for her birthday, she and Alex are still not engaged.

The actress is currently promoting her new movie "Second Act" which will be released in theaters on December 21 in the United States.
