Jeannie Mai's ex-husband melts hearts with picture of newborn daughter in Santa costume

Freddy Harteis, the estranged husband of “The Real” co-host Jeannie Mai, took to Instagram to share photos of her newborn daughter with a Christmas outfit.

In the first image, Freddy appeared with a beige winter coat on while holding his one-month-old daughter, Emersyn Rose, who was wearing red and white little boots, a white onesie, and a Christmas hat.

The baby looked very happy as she was even smiling. However, the second photo proved that she doesn’t like being next to strangers as it portrayed her in Santa’s arms crying.

Freddy funnily addressed that situation in the caption as he wrote, “At first, someone was excited to see SANTA and then something changed? Haha.” In the next image, Freddy, Emersyn, and Linsey (the baby’s mother) posed together.

REACTING TO THE PHOTOS

For the rest of the pictures, the baby was the highlight as she posed next to Santa, alone in the stroller, and with her mother in the most adorable way. As soon as Freddy uploaded that slideshow, his followers took to the comment section to share their thoughts.

“Omg she’s adorable glad you have found your happiness,” wrote one user.

“Awwwwwwwwww what a beautiful family , she’s just the cutest, Gods many blessings [sic],” pointed out a second follower.

“These photos are so precious and adorable. Your little family looks so happy. Enjoy every moment of this special time with your beautiful, picture perfect Emmie Rose,” added a third one.

DIGGING INTO JEANNIE MAI’S FEELINGS

Even though Linsey and Freddy are clearly happy for the new addition to their family, Jeannie Mai, who was married to Harteis since 2007 to 2017, confessed she wouldn’t have married Freddy if she knew the kind of man he was.

“The Real” co-host pointed out during a previous episode of the show that it was common to hear that money can change people, but that divorce could do the same, too, especially when the finances get on the table.

MEETING THE REAL HARTEIS

“It’s just so weird because the one thing that he would always say back then is like, ‘You really, truly don’t know a person until they don’t get what they want.’ But I never thought he would be the one to prove that to me,” added Mai.

When they first split, Mai said that she still loved her ex, who ended the relationship because he wanted to have children, but Mai didn’t. As time passed by, she realized that Harteis was not the man she fell in love with.

“You wake up with a rock in your heart, and you feel like you can’t really make it through the day because it’s just so heavy. Especially when finances get involved. Especially when people change,” revealed Mai.
