A Rustic Life to Pass On
Fergie co-parents Axl with her ex-husband, Josh Duhamel, who recently starred in Netflix's Western drama "Ransom Canyon", a role that mirrors his real-life love for the outdoors.
Back in April, Josh opened up to Parade about how his character's rugged lifestyle isn't far from his own. Living on a Minnesota ranch that began as a simple cabin, the actor has transformed it into a full-time residence — one that's become a haven for father-son bonding.
"My son is going to have memories of this place forever," he told the magazine. "He's not on his iPad when he's out there. He's out there in the boat with me, or he's playing soccer on the beach, or he's out there in the woods doing whatever I'm doing."
Josh, who now shares a younger son, Shepherd Lawrence Duhamel, with his current wife, Audra Mari, is raising his boys in the same outdoorsy tradition.
"Someday, I hope to pass this on to them [so] they're able to share it with their kids. It's really important to me that they have this. It's not just about having all the amenities and all the luxuries that we become so used to. It's really about family. It's about legacy," he expressed.
