Tika Sumpter melts hearts with new photo of growing daughter in coat & her curly hair in a bun

Even though we hardly get to see her face, Tika Sumpter’s daughter, Ella-Loren, is growing and her mama couldn’t be happier.

The fiercely private actress recently shared a picture of Ella Loren in a coat, pants, and sneakers. Ella’s visible curls added that adorable touch that is so common with children photos and fans couldn’t help falling in love.

“Happy is her,” Sumpter captioned the post while most of her followers commented on how big Ella has grown.

The “Southside With You” actress welcomed her daughter on October 8, 2016, but kept it under wraps until some weeks later. Even with her pregnancy, the public only got to know after she was so close to her due date.

Just before she gave birth to her baby, Sumpter opened up about why she chose to keep things under wraps.

“I didn’t want to hear, ‘Who’s the dad? Are you with the dad?’” she said. “Social media can be harsh, and I’m a mama bear, protective of my family. So that’s why I waited to tell people, including some friends.”

And Sumpter was right. When she eventually revealed the identity of her fiancé/Ella’s dad (who proposed on Christmas 2016), their relationship became the subject of constant social media trolling.

The man, Nick James, is her “The Haves and the Have Nots” co-star and he’s white. For some reason, certain people have chosen to be offended by their interracial union and on more than one occasion, have thrown cruel remarks at the pair.

The "Nobody's Fool" actress, 38, fired off a warning to the naysayers last month. “Don’t come after my dude like that,” she threatened, adding:

“Look within your own lives maybe you’re just not that happy and I’m sorry about that.”

The negative comments nonetheless, Sumpter and James seem only to be waxing stronger and stay focused on parenting their daughter.
