Ken Watson, who was in his 80s, had doted over two-year-old Cadi for the past two years, as reported by CBS News.

Owen Williams, Cadi’s father, revealed Ken’s kind gesture in a tweet.

Williams and his wife were unsure whether they should give Cadi one “present from Ken” each Christmas or not.

"Our elderly neighbour passed away recently. His daughter popped round a few moments ago clutching a large plastic sack," Williams wrote on Twitter. "In the sack were all the Christmas presents he'd bought for *our* daughter for the next thirteen years."

He added later: “I miscounted. It’s fourteen gifts.” He posted a few photos of the individually wrapped presents.

“He always told us he'd live till he was 100-years-old, so these gifts would have taken him up to our little girl's 16th Christmas,” Williams wrote.

TWITTER POLL

Williams and his wife were unsure whether they should give Cadi one “present from Ken” each Christmas or not because they were not sure how to know what age each gift was meant for. He did a poll on Twitter and the result is in favor of waiting and opening one gift each year.

They couldn’t resist opening one gift early, and it was a children’s book, “Christmas Eve at the Mellops” by Tomi Ungerer.

Ken, who played the accordion, was a lover of extreme adventure. At age 85, he stood on the roof of a plane to parachuting over the city of Swansea.

He was once featured by a local paper. He said he was pursuing late-in-life thrills to combat the loneliness of being a widower.

Williams described him as a soft-hearted man. "Our dog loved him. I mean, genuine visceral love. It was mainly due to the chocolate digestive biscuits he gave her on first meeting. She'd scream whenever she saw him," he said.
