Snoop Dogg shows love for his mom with holiday photo of her in all red outfit near Christmas tree
Snoop Dogg is a grandpa-of-two, but that doesn’t stop him from being his mama’s son and showing love to her every opportunity he gets. The rapper shared a sweet picture of his mother and accompanied it with an even sweeter message.
Snoop, whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr., posted a pic of his mother looking festive in an all-red ensemble of a bejeweled jacket and matching pants.
Beverly Broadus-Green was the image of happiness as she grinned while posing beside a decorated Christmas tree. “Merry Xmas momma. Love u,” wrote the “What’s My Name” rapper in the caption.
Many still find it quite unbelievable that Broadus-Green is an evangelist who tours the country for several speaking engagements. Broadus-Green published her first book, “Real Love” in 2012 and released a sequel, “Real Love II” in 2016.
The former church choir director and head chef also says her first passion is helping battered women:
“I’m blessed with the discernment to pick up on abusive relationships.”
Her commitment also helps her save other women from going through the troubles she did in her previous relationships.
The 67-year-old, who is also a philanthropist and keeps away from the spotlight as much as possible, confessed that she didn’t know much about her son’s work until he was famous.
“When Snoop became famous I told him that I didn’t even know what a rapper was. He was getting ready to put out his first album with Dr. Dre, and I didn’t know anything about it,” she said in an interview with by Marcel Gamble, adding:
“I told him if he was passionate about it to go do what he has to do and I prayed for my son. Since the beginning of his career until now I have seen a tremendous change in my son. Snoop is a man of God and I can see God positioning him.”
Broadus-Green also admitted the rapper was her toughest kid and shared her reaction when he asked for an alcoholic drink at the age of four. She gave Snoop some and when he got sick, taught him the critical lesson to stay away from alcohol.
Snoop may have thought his mother was hard on him while growing up, but today, the hip-hop legend has nothing but words of gratitude for his mother as can be seen from his many social media posts.
