Harrison Ford is the proud father of 5 beautiful kids, one of whom is adopted

Harrison Ford is an American actor known for his role as Han Solo in the “Star Wars” films and as the lead in the “Indiana Jones” series. However, most people do not know about his blended family of five children.

Harrison met his wife, Calista Flockhart, at the Golden Globes in 2002. The couple started dating shortly after.

He proposed to her in 2009 and they married the next June in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

BLENDED FAMILY

Calista and Harrison do not have any biological children together. Calista adopted a son, Liam, before she started dating Harrison. However, the actor considers Liam as his own son.

Liam was six months old when Calista started dating Harrison and quickly joined the actor’s blended family with his four other children from his previous marriages.

Harrison was previously married to Mary Marquardt and then Melissa Mathison, with whom it had two children each.

His biological children are Benjamin, William, Malcolm, and Georgia. While there is a noticeable age gap between his own children and Liam, they apparently all get on very well.

SOLID AS A ROCK

Calista and Harrison have been married for eight years and are still going strong, despite the fact that she spilled a drink on him the first time they met.

Later on, Calista revealed that she did that because she was keen to meet him. When they met he was 60 years old and she was 38.

They overcame their age difference because they both feel that they are meant to be together. They have credited their shared sense of humor as the source of their relationship’s success.

Harrison Ford has a love of aviation and in 2015 he crashed while flying his World War Two vintage plane. Calista kept true to her vows and looked after him. Thinking back on what happened, Harrison said:

“My wife, who is a wonderful lady, understands my passion for aviation, she understands what it means to me and flies with me to this day.”
