Award-winning actor Denzel Washington's four children have followed in their father's footsteps by creating careers for themselves in Hollywood.
Washington married Pauletta Pearson in June 1983. The couple, who met on the set of the television film "Wilma," have four children - John David, 34, Katia, 32, and 27-year-old twins Olivia and Malcolm.
Washington is a wonderful father who is always around for his children when they need him. He offers advice and a listening ear when they're in need.
Washington's son, John David, recalled the advice that his father gave him before he made his Broadway debut. He said his father told him to "own his space" and to believe in everything he said.
John David also joked that his mother had notes for him even after she had come to see his play 29 times. John David also got advice from his mentor, Stephen Henderson, who told him to make his performance as true as possible.
With degrees ranging from theater to film and their dad's acting tips, the Washington children have more than what it takes to take over Hollywood.
Now, the children have their own lives and have been doing wonderfully in their respective

John David spent four years as the running back for the United Football League's Sacramento Mountain Lions. He then shifted to an acting career like his father and mother. He is best known for his role as Ricky Jerret on the HBO comedy series "Ballers."
This wasn't his first time on screen. In 1992, he made his big screen debut, playing a student in his famous father's film "Malcolm X." He was only nine years old at the time.
In 2010, John David also helped his dad co-produce his film called "The Book of Eli."
Recently, he earned both Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for his role in Spike Lee's 2018 film "BlacKkKlansman."
In 2010, Katia graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts. She worked as an editorial production assistant on the 2012 Quentin Tarantino film Django "Unchained."

Much like John David, he started in sports before making the transition to showbiz. Malcolm played point guard for the University of Pennsylvania basketball team.
In 2013, he graduated with a degree in film studies. He also graduated from the American Film Institute Conservatory in 2016. He is currently engaged in the directing department of a couple of movies.
In 2013, Olivia, who studied at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, was featured in the Lee Daniel's film "The Butler." She has since had other roles in film and TV.
She has also made appearances in series like “Madoff,” “Mr. Robot,” “Chicago P.D,” and other short movies. With degrees ranging from theater to film and their dad's acting tips, the Washington children have more than what it takes to take over Hollywood.
