Police ask for help in search of missing teen who left home carrying aqua-colored backpack
17-year-old Bridget Kelley has gone missing and hasn’t been seen by her parents since Christmas night. The police are now asking for help in finding the young lady.
Bridget lives in Westbrook with her family, and this is the third time she's been filed as a missing person by the police. The first two times were sometime in August; before and during summer.
Recently, the police released information about what she wore the day she went missing and the last time anyone saw her. On the night of December 25th, the teenager was wearing a gray colored Nike sweat suit. She also had on black Ugg boots and an aqua colored backpack.
Also, she recently dyed her hair red and got a piercing above her lip. All these details were shared with the hope that someone would recognize her and help bring her home.
Although, the reason why she keeps disappearing isn’t disclosed, this is the third time the seventeen-year-old will be declared missing by the police department.
Janine Roberts, the Westbrook Police Chief, mentioned that Kelley has gone missing several times; and each time, the police asks for the public’s help in finding her. There have been several cases like this where kids and teenagers go missing. The police ask for help, and most times, luckily, someone finds and bring the lost person home.
A nine-year-old boy from Englewood was recently found after he went missing. There was also a case of thirteen-year-old Calif who was reported missing in Irvine. After her parents noticed she was gone, they immediately informed the Irvine police. The law enforcement agency then released apparent details about the young girl to the public.
Just about two hours after the information became public knowledge, the Police issued a message on Twitter that she is now home safely with her parents.
Although Bridget’s been missing for over two weeks now, with this new development in the case, there is hope that she would be spotted. Anyone with information about Kelly’s whereabouts should kindly reach out to the Westbrook Police Department at 854-0644.
