Kelly Ripa opens up about her workout mantra, joking her body looks like Peter Pan no matter what

Kelly Ripa, who always has been vocal about her enthusiasm for fitness, said that her body looks like Peter Pan regardless of what she does.

In an interview with The Cut, the 48-year-old talk show host explained that she's mindful her workouts haven't developed her body.

On March 26, 2018, Ripa's proud husband Mark Consuelos took to Instagram to share a photo of his wife in a bikini, and it didn't take long before haters took notice.

“I was talking to a cardiologist and he said to make sure your heart beats out of your chest every day. The more you exercise, the healthier it is," Ripa said. "And I can be honest: My body looks like Peter Pan no matter what I do."

She added: “I’ve never been a va-va-voom woman. I like to take AKT — which is cardio-based dance classes — about four to five days a week between 3 and 5 p.m. And I like to do SoulCycle on the weekends. In the summer, I like to run in Central Park because I think it’s so gorgeous.”

Ripa also shared that a lot of caffeine is the thing that fuels her jam-packed schedule.

“I make a ‘Bullet Coffee’ at home in the morning — it’s coffee, two shots of espresso and a tablespoon of ghee and then a packet of collagen powder … Then I blend it all together and have this frosty thick beverage,” she said.

“I have a Starbucks latte when I get to ‘Live.’ Then I will have a half a coffee after the show wraps. I have a great energy level. I don’t nap, and I fear that if I did nap, it would probably make me stay awake all night.”

On March 26, 2018, Ripa's proud husband Mark Consuelos took to Instagram to share a photo of his wife in a bikini, and it didn't take long before haters took notice.

"Sultry Sundays with the sexy one are my fave..." Consuelos wrote.

In the photo, Ripa spots a sun hat and a two-piece bathing suit. It was taken during their vacation.

The sexy snap has received over 120,000 likes. Instagram users later commented that the “Live With Kelly and Ryan” co-host should have covered up more.

One user wrote: "Kelly's gorgeous, but isn't there a cutoff age where age-appropriateness comes into play? Just because you can rock a bikini, doesn't mean you should."

Another user commented that Ripa has changed from being a sweet lady several years back.

Ripa and Consuelos, who have been married for more than two decades, have three children - Michael, Lola, and Joaquin. They met on the set of "All My Children" in 1995.
