How Gillie Da King Unfollowed Wiz Khalifa Because of His Gym Outfit and Later Lost His Instagram Account
A joke about gym attire quickly snowballed into a social media feud. What began with an Instagram unfollow soon evolved into deleted posts, public responses, and accusations over a missing account.
In early April 2022, in a since-removed post, Gillie Da King revealed that he had unfollowed Wiz Khalifa on Instagram, claiming the rapper's increasingly frequent workout videos had taken over his feed.

Although the podcaster and former rapper made it clear that he still had plenty of respect for the Taylor Gang founder, he joked that the revealing gym attire had become impossible to ignore. "Wiz Khalifa, man. I love you, brother," he began.
"I'm still riding around, you know, bangin' 'Black and Yellow' and 'When I See You Again.' You a legend, man. It's Pennsylvania, baby. Philly to Pittsburgh," he continued.

His praise, however, came with a humorous explanation for why he had hit the unfollow button. "I had to unfollow him today, man. Every time I come on my page, man, you in your drawers," Gillie Da King joked before adding:
"You giving up strap-and-ball action, man. Every day, man?! I can't do eight balls in the corner pocket every day when I wake up, man. So, you know, I had to unfollow you, player. I love you, though, man."
Khalifa did not let the comments go unanswered. In a gym photo that was later deleted, he appeared shirtless and wrote in the caption, "Not responsible for your childhood trauma."
Rather than escalating the exchange, Gillie Da King leaned into the joke. Responding in the comments, he laughed at the caption before telling the rapper to put on some shorts.
The "Black and Yellow" rapper later shared another post, which has also since been deleted, alongside the caption, "How Wiz handles haters." Without mentioning the podcast host by name, he addressed criticism over his workout videos. "Alright, I'm only [going to] address this one time," Khalifa began.
The podcast host later responded during an Instagram Live broadcast, maintaining that Khalifa had played a role in what happened.

"The same [expletive] who be tellin' me to put clothes on in the gym or unfollowing me because I make them feel uncomfortable, y'all the same [expletive] who laughed at people when they read in high school or said that you sound stupid because you sound smart," he continued.
He concluded his message by dismissing the negativity, declaring, "And you know what I do with negativity? See ya!"
Gillie Da King Blamed Wiz Khalifa After His Instagram Account Disappeared
The initially playful exchange then took another turn after Gillie Da King's Instagram account was removed. The podcast host publicly suggested that the suspension came shortly after he joked about Khalifa's workout posts, leading him to believe the rapper had reported the account.
He shared those suspicions across social media before launching a new Instagram page. Meanwhile, the rapper denied any involvement, taking to X to share:
"I didn't get that child's instagram deleted. I even offered to help him get his page back and he declined. See ya."

The podcast host later responded during an Instagram Live broadcast, maintaining that Khalifa had played a role in what happened. He also implied that the pair had spoken privately by phone after the account disappeared.
According to Gillie Da King, the rapper later offered to help restore the account, but he rejected the idea because he believed the situation had been blown out of proportion.

He also criticized Khalifa's decision to refer to him as a "child" on social media, arguing that the rapper would not have used that description had the two been speaking face-to-face. Gillie Da King continued addressing the dispute after launching a new Instagram account.
Across multiple posts, he suggested that social media had become a place where people reported one another rather than handling disagreements directly. "It's 2022 u got Social Media rats now," he wrote in one post.
From an Instagram unfollow and deleted posts to accusations over a disabled account, the exchange spilled across multiple platforms, with Gillie Da King and Wiz Khalifa publicly defending their positions while keeping the online back-and-forth in the spotlight.
