R. Kelly celebrates birthday at nightclub, says he isn't concerned with controversy surrounding him

In the midst of controversy, R. Kelly chose to celebrate his birthday at a nightclub. During his celebration, he stated that he is unconcerned with the controversy that is plaguing him.

Amid publicized allegations against him, R. Kelly made a surprise public appearance. To further shock the public he released a defiant message.

The star is currently facing accusations of multiple sexual misconducts from a growing number of women. He is also the subject of Lifetime's newly released docuseries Surviving R. Kelly.

The singer adamantly denies all allegations. Now he's surprised fans by releasing a shocking statement about the controversy.

During his birthday celebrations at a nightclub, the Grammy-winning singer took the mike and sang the opening lyrics of his 1994 hit, "Bump n' Grind," without music. He then decided to address the recent issues he is facing.

"Somebody make some motherf[expletive] noise. Y'all [expletive] don't know it's my [expletive birthday and I don't give a f--k what's going on tonight." said R. Kelly.

Kelly turned 52 years old on January 8. Fans videotaped his performance and speech while enthusiastically singing along and screaming in support as he spoke.

The singer also sang back and forth with the audience. After his speech, he proceeded to pose for photos with fans.

It was later reported that someone called the police on the singe. The person apparently claimed there was a warrant for his arrest.

Chicago police confirmed that they responded to the call of a person wanted around 1:01 a.m. in the area of the club. However, they said there were no arrests made.

Besides the general public speaking out against the star, R. Kelly's daughter also spoke up and sympathized with her father's victims after being silent for years. She said she was devastated by the revelations and allegations surrounding her "terrible father."

R. Kelly has faced alleged sexual abuses for years. Now his daughter has lashed out with painful and strong words about her father.

“The same monster you all confronting me about is my father. I am well aware of who and what he is. I grew up in that house.” said his daughter in her statement.
