Tia & Tamera Mowry share childhood picture with brothers and late grandmom 1 week after her death
Tia and Tamera Mowry cling to a photo of their childhood with their late grandmother as they continue to mourn her loss.
Tia and Tamera Mowry are still mourning the death of their grandmother and they’re hanging on to their childhood memories to cope.
"What a warrior you were; an angel in shining armor."
MOURNING THE LOSS OF THEIR GRANDMOTHER
It was a sad start of the new year for Tia and Tamera Mowry who suffered the death of their grandma Clo. The twins each shared tributes on their Instagram after their grandma succumbed to her battle with cancer.
“My heart is broken,” Tia wrote to accompany a photo of her hugging her late relative.
Meanwhile, Tamera lauded her grandmother’s strength as she wrote,
“Every good thing trickles down from you.”
In the days that followed, the sisters continued to relive their memories with their grandmother. Tia delighted in knowing her grandma got to see her child, daughter Cairo and even prayed for her while she was still in her womb.
A SPECIAL CHILDHOOD PHOTO
More than a week after their grandmother’s death, the sisters continue to celebrate her presence in their lives. They each shared a photo originally posted by their brother Tahj Mowry and reminisced their childhood days.
The throwback pic featured Tia and Tamera and their brothers Tahj and Tavior surrounding their grandmother. Tia and Tamera must have been in their pre-teens at the time.
In Tamera’s post, she reiterated how much she loved her grandmother and lamented on her wise words and the last smile she witnessed during their final days together.
“I love you granny. Thinking of all your wise words you passed down to me today. I can’t stop thinking of your last smile to me. It was a smile filled with so much love that will fill my cup for a lifetime.”
Tamera added that she will “do my best to carry on your legacy” as she again paid tribute to her grandmother’s strength.
“What a warrior you were; an angel in shining armor.”
Tia, on the other hand, kept her caption simple and wrote, “Grandma we love you.”
PREVIOUS DEATH OF A LOVED ONE
This is the second time the twins mourned the loss of a loved one in recent months. Back in November, Tamera’s niece Alaina Housley was tragically killed during the Thousand Oaks shooting which also claimed the lives of 11 other innocent people.
Tamera was heartbroken and so was Tia who shared in her sister’s grief. It was a difficult time for the family who had to learn to come into terms with the senseless tragedy.
