This is Patrick Swayze's widow Lisa Niemi’s one regret about her marriage to the legendary actor

Actress Lisa Niemi opened up about her biggest regret from her marriage to Patrick Swayze.

Niemi, 62, gave a talk in California a few months after the legendary actor died from pancreatic cancer in September 2009, as reported by Woman Magazine.

The couple, who were married in June 1975, melted hearts as they performed an emotional dance in Monte Carlo, Monaco during the 1994 World Music Awards.

SHE REGRETS NOT SAYING "I LOVE YOU"

During their 34 years together, Niemi said she did not tell Swayze she loved him enough and she regrets that.

She tried to make up for it by telling the actor "I Love You" multiple times day by day in the last months of his life. However, she'd come up short on time.

“My regret is that I didn’t tell him that I loved him enough over that entire 34 years," the actress said.

This confession is a piece of evidence to how much Niemi loved the award-winning actor.

ICONIC AND HEARTFELT DANCE

The couple, who were married in June 1975, melted hearts as they performed an emotional dance in Monte Carlo, Monaco during the 1994 World Music Awards.

The heartfelt dance number was the couple’s first time to dance on international television.

They exuded grace as they danced and spun across the dance floor. Swayze would take Niemi in his arms, spin her and lift her with much precision.

They danced with so much intensity and emotion that many of the audience members were moved to tears. Swayze and Niemi danced like no one was watching, pouring their hearts into their performance.

It’s not hard to understand what motivated such a passionate performance if one knows the couple’s love story.

Swayze and Niemi first met at the Houston Ballet Company, which was owned and directed by his father. Their professional relations blossomed into a romantic affair.

NIEME HAS MOVED ON

It was announced in December 2013 that she was engaged to jeweler Albert DePrisco. In May 2014, the couple were married.
