Betty White turns 97! 'Golden Girl' dazzles while taking a walk right before her birthday
Ahead of her 97th birthday, actress Betty White was seen out and about looking healthy and happy. The star was spotted taking a walk in Los Angeles.
The star held the arm of a man in a black suit who helped her get around. White was photographed smiling at the media as they snapped her image.
Thursday is the big day for actress Betty White! The star who was born on January 17, 1922, in Oak Park, Illinois was seen taking a stroll on Wednesday.
For her outing, she wore a sky blue Patagonia anorak over a floral open shirt with a simple white t-shirt. She completed her look with a pair of blue pants and simple flat shoes.
White was born the same year as Judy Garland and Ava Gardner. She is the only child of Christine Tess Cachikis and Horace Logan White.

White is a pioneer in the television industry and she decided to become an actress during her High School years. In the 1950s, she helped produce her TV sitcom “Life With Elizabeth,” at the time she was the first woman to do so.
She’s since won 7 Emmy Awards during her long television career. White has appeared in numerous films and on also on television, but she’s well-known for her role as Rose Nylund on the seven-season sitcom “The Golden Girls.”
The actress also memorably starred as Sue Ann Nevins on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show.” The star has stayed in the industry well into her 90s.
From 2012 to 2014, she appeared on the prank show “Betty White's Off Their Rockers” where the elderly played tricks on the young. Her latest starring role was as Elka Ostrovsky on “Hot in Cleveland” which last aired in June 2015.
In 2017, White featured in a documentary called “If You're Not In The Obit, Eat Breakfast.” Last year, she was interviewed for a PBS documentary called “Betty White: The First Lady Of Television.”
White has received 3 Screen Actors Guild Awards, 3 American Comedy Awards, a Grammy, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 1995 she was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame.
And as of 2013, she holds the Guinness World Records for the longest television career for a female entertainer.
