Chris Brown plans to sue the French model for defamation after she accused him of rape

Singer, Chris Brown had a rough start to his week. Now, he reveals he intends to sue the French model who accused him of rape for defamation.

Chris Brown, 29, announced that he plans to sue the woman who accused him of raping her. The woman had claimed he raped her in a Paris hotel room.

The American R&B singer made the statement through his French lawyer. He was released without charge following police questioning earlier this week.

After his release, the star revealed he intends to file a complaint of slander against the 24-year-old model who alleged she was attacked. She reportedly filed a complaint with police claiming she was raped by Brown at the five-star Le Mandarin Oriental hotel on January 15 and 16.

Brown's lawyer, Raphael Chiche revealed in a statement, "Chris Brown is free. No lawsuits were filed against him. He vigorously challenges the charges against him. A complaint for slanderous denunciation will be filed tomorrow with the public prosecutor of Paris."

Brown had been arrested on Monday. He was held overnight for questioning with three members of his entourage.

They were all released on Tuesday. The alleged victim, who remains unnamed for legal reasons, claimed she was attacked by the singer and two other men during a drug-fuelled party.

The woman had revealed in an interview with a French magazine how she apparently met Brown at the Crystal Lounge nightclub on the Champs Elysees. She claims they then went back to the hotel with a friend for an after-party.

She alleged that the attack took place after she was separated from her companion. She claims she ended up alone in a room with the singer.

However, after the questioning, Brown was released without charge and with no conditions. He is free to leave France when he pleases but police confirmed the investigation was still ongoing.

Brown wrote in a now deleted post, "I wanna make it perfectly clear this is false and a whole lot of cap (sic). Nnnnneeeevvvvveeeerrr for my daughter and my family. This is so disrespectful and is against my character and morals."

Chris is currently dating Ammika Harris, 24, who was seen canoodling with the singer in Paris the weekend before his arrest.
