Chuck Norris Is Close to Family: As Dad of 5 He's 'Very Proud' of His Kids & Grandkids' Success

82-year-old Chuck Norris has had a long action-filled career in Hollywood, from his background in martial arts to being part of some of the biggest action flicks. The actor is a father of five and a proud grandfather who watches his grandkid's sports games religiously.

Action legend Chuck Norris started his martial arts career before becoming one of the most well-known action stars. He started his acting career in the 70s and acted alongside other action stars, like Bruce Willis, in the film "The Way of the Dragon."

Norris has been part of many more famous films such as "The Expandables 2", "The Hitman," and more, but he also landed a lead role in the TV show "Walker, Texas Ranger" from 1993 to 2001.

The 82-year-old is a proud father of five children across three of his relationships. Despite his busy schedules, Norris was still a doting father and built close relationships with all his offspring.

Chuck Norris Is 'Very Proud' of His Grandchildren

Now that his children are all adults, Norris embraces his role as a grandfather. The action legend has been lucky enough to see his grandchildren reach significant milestones.

The actor's fraternal twin grandchildren, Max, and Greta Norris are in their junior year at Faith High School in Grapevine, Texas.

The athletic gene in the Norris family seems to be strong. Max plays the line back position for Faith Football team while Greta is a defensive midfielder for the school's soccer team.

To top it off, both teams won the state titles in 2016/2017, and Norris was able to watch Max's football team win the cup. Although he was not there to watch Greta's championship match, the proud grandfather has attended several of his granddaughter's soccer games.

Luckily for Norris, his grandchildren love to watch his movies; Max even appeared on an episode of "Walker, Texas Rangers."

But when the twins are not admiring their grandfather's action stunts on screen, they love to listen to him tell stories from back in the days, which they confessed are pretty amusing. "He'll tell us stories from back in the days. He makes us laugh," said Greta.

Norris’ Two Marriages

Norris shares two of his children, Mike and Eric, with ex-wife Dianne Holechek with whom he was married for 30 years. They also share 7 grandchildren: Greta, Max, Chantz, Hannah, Camrynn, Chloe, and Cash Norris.

In 1998, Norris married former model Gena O'Kelley, and in 2001 she gave birth to the twins, Danilee and Dakota, now 18.

Norris' eldest daughter, Dina DeCioli, 54, was the result of an affair the star had during his marriage to Dianne Holechek.

An unusual race in College Station, Texas, is set to be quite a treat for Chuck Norris fans. Participants in the 5K race will be dressed up as Chuck Norris; prizes will be attributed to the best male, female, and child costumes.

Competitors who register early will be presented with a Chuck-inspired shirt, fake beard, and belt buckle. Participants willing to pay extra will have breakfast with Norris before the race.
