Wendy Williams caught on camera for the first time since postponing her show due to her health
The popular talk show host was spotted during a candid public outing, giving her fans and followers a new hope.
Wendy Williams has already postponed her return to “The Wendy Williams Show” up to three times because of health concerns including Graves’ disease and a fractured shoulder.
On January 29, the 54-year-old TV personality gave her fans some hope by making a casual appearance at a CVS along with a friend.
Williams was spotted donning a beautiful, bright yellow T-shirt, and carrying a matching yellow purse during her visit to the drug store.
Earlier this month, Williams broke the news that her health might keep her away from the show for an uncertain amount of time.
Her family stated in a press release that Williams was experiencing “complications regarding her Graves’ disease” which would require further treatment.
During this period, she was to be placed under the strict supervision of her physicians. To provide her with proper care, she would have to spend a considerable amount of time in the hospital.
“Despite her strong desire to return, she is taking a necessary, extended break from her show to focus on her personal and physical well-being,” the family explained in the press statement.
A few weeks prior to that statement, Williams had made a return to the show after recovering from a fractured shoulder.
However, she ended up ‘slurring her words’ during the episode, leading her to apologize to the fans for delivering a “less than stellar show.”
“I sincerely apologize if you feel that today’s show was less than stellar. I’m on your TV screens every day wanting to spread laughter, entertainment, and cheer,” she wrote in an Instagram post, before opening up about the fracture on her upper arm.
Last year in April, Williams endured another embarrassing moment on the set of her show when her guest, actress Roseanne Barr, came up with a smart response to her question.
Meanwhile, another Instagram post from the show’s official account announced that Fox’s “The Masked Singer” host, Nick Cannon, is all set to take the temporary hosting role on the show in Williams’s absence.
