Beyoncé & Jay-Z showed up in style for their Roc Nation Pre-Grammy event on Saturday, but despite winning in one of the categories, the music power couple did not make an appearance at the Grammy Awards.

Jay-Z, 49, founded Roc Nation in 2008, and every year, he and his superstar wife, Beyoncé host a star-studded party, "THE BRUNCH" on a Saturday during Grammys weekend.

This year, Bey and Jay, as fans call them, stole the show in their coordinated, stylish pastel looks.

The “Lemonade” singer glowed in an asymmetrical Balmain dress that skimmed her thighs and put her legs on display.

The outfit featured artfully applied pastel splashes and dramatic sleeves, and Beyoncé rocked it with light jewelry, cat-eye shades, and strappy sandals with heels fashioned as the letter “B.”

Jay-Z looked equally dashing in his FRÈRE powder-blue double-breasted suit, paired with a white t-shirt and matching sneakers. He also sported colorful headband and dark sunglasses. Beyonce, 37, shared multiple pictures of their looks and even one of the duo kissing.

The Shade Room also posted several images from the high-profile event. Janelle Monae, Big Sean, Usher, and Fat Joe were other famous faces present.

"...There was no need for them to attend the ceremony if they didn't want to. And this year, it seemed that was the case.”

According to Dailymail.com, Beyoncé got in a bit of mingling at the brunch, posing for photos with Kevin Hart, who was there with his wife Eniko, amongst others.

Although Jay-Z and Beyoncé had a swell time at the pre-Grammy brunch, the two skipped the prestigious music awards that held a day later.

The pair was nominated for three Grammys this year, Best Music Video for "Ape[expletive]," Best R&B Performance for "Summer" and Best Urban Contemporary Album for “Everything Is Love.”

They eventually won the Best Urban Contemporary Album category but were not at the event. Elle.com suggests that the parents-of-three may have skipped the 61st Annual Grammy Awards because the award they won was revealed during the Grammys pre-show.

“Neither Beyoncé nor Jay-Z were performing during the actual show either, so there was no need for them to attend the ceremony if they didn't want to. And this year, it seemed that was the case,” claimed the outlet.

The article also recalled Jay-Z’s unpleasant history with the Grammys. The rapper reportedly called the Awards out in him and Beyoncé’s collaborative single, "Ape[expletive]."

Some of his rap lyrics went thus:

"Tell the Grammy’s [expletive] that 0 for 8 [expletive]/Have you ever seen the crowd goin' ape[expletive]?"

The lines were apparently in response to the Academy nominating his album "4:44" for eight awards in 2018 but giving him none.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z are yet to reveal why they skipped the Grammys or where they chose to spend their night, but the two could have decided to stay in with their kids, Blue Ivy, seven, and the wins, Rumi and Sir, who will be two years old in June.
