Mary J. Blige spotted holding hands with her rumored new man while in London
Eight months after finalizing her divorce, Mary J. Blige stepped out holding hands with her rumored new man who is said to be an “African Prince.”
A few hours ago, The Shade Room shared paparazzi photos of the “Real Love” singer clasping her hand in his as they seemingly hurried somewhere.
Blige, 48, wore a glittering gold top, matching pants, and brown shoes. She styled her blonde hair to the side and was missing one earring on the right ear.
In a 2017 radio appearance, [Blige] opened up about the “overwhelming disrespect” she experienced.
The yet-to-be-identified African man looked dashing in a head-to-toe burgundy ensemble including knee-high boots and a cap. He also sported several shiny jewelry pieces around his neck and on his arm.
“Okay!! Aunty Mary got her groove back!” TSR captioned the post. “Sis was spotted in London locking hands with a tall, dark, handsome, African man who is alleged to be a Prince! We see you #MaryJBlige!”
Blige and her rumored new lover, who is reportedly very rich, stepped out together last night in London as the Hip-Hop Soul legend attended the BAFTAs: Vogue x Tiffany Fashion and Film after-party at Annabel's in London.
The man allegedly accompanied the “No More Drama” hitmaker to the event with his security and bulletproof Mercedes Benz.
Reports of this new man come in the wake of Blige’s recent divorce from her husband/manager of 12 years, Martin “Kendu” Isaacs.
Last June, a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge signed off on the messy divorce that had played out in public from 2016 when the singer made the filing, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
Blige accused Isaacs of cheating on her with her one-time protégé, the singer Starshell, and in a 2017 radio appearance, she opened up about the “overwhelming disrespect” she experienced:
“I can sense that I’m not what you want any more. You start to realize that this man doesn’t want you and he’s just gone all the time and you’re by yourself in the relationship.”
Isaacs also pestered Blige for spousal support during the proceedings, claiming that he would be “destitute” without the money he gets from working for his ex-wife.
The terms were not made public, but Blige and Isaacs settled out of court last March and three months later, were officially divorced.
Since then, the “Mudbound” actress has been living her best life, showing up on the red carpet at various events, and now, if the reports are accurate, giving love a second chance.
