Former "Today" show anchor Megyn Kelly posed for photographs with Kathie Lee Gifford on the red carpet at Children's Charity Gala.
Kelly and Gifford reunited in Scottsdale, Arizona, recently. The two attended the children's advocacy organization Childhelp's Drive the Dream Gala at the Phoenician Resort.
"I believe this is a time for more understanding, more love, more sensitivity and honor and I want to be part of that."
The television hosts posed together on the red carpet during the event, which raised over $4.3 million for abused and neglected children.
For the celebration, Kelly wore a plunging, black and gold sequined long dress, while Gifford, who announced in December that she's leaving NBC in April, opted for a light floral, off-the-shoulder dress.
Their red carpet moment comes just over three months after Kelly was let go by NBC from her show “Megyn Kelly Today".
The network released Kelly from her contract due to some controversial remarks she made about blackface.
“You truly do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface at Halloween or a black person who puts on whiteface. That was OK when I was a kid, as long as you were dressing like a character," she said at the time.
Kelly sent a letter to her associates and regretted on air following her controversial comments.
"This past year has been so painful for many people of color, the country feels so divided, and I have no wish to add to that pain and offense," she said. "I believe this is a time for more understanding, more love, more sensitivity and honor and I want to be part of that."
Kelly's exit deal with NBC was finalized a month ago. According to reports, she was given the rest of her $69 million contract.
Since losing her job on NBC, the mother-of-three joked about her employment status in a Twitter post, implying that she's in high spirits regardless of the circumstances.
“About to begin jury duty this morning. Slightly concerned about the effectiveness of the ‘I’m far too busy’ excuse this time,” Kelly wrote.
