Cohen became a father through a surrogate on February 4, 2019. The "Watch What Happens" host and his newborn were featured exclusively on this week's issue of PEOPLE where he opened up about becoming a father.

Cohen also talked about the exhilarating moment he met his newborn. Jokingly, he said,

"I had been hoping that he would have a full head of hair, and he really over delivered. That was the first thing you see, the head of hair coming out. And I was amazed."

As PEOPLE noted, the doctors gave Cohen the privilege to cut the umbilical cord himself and feel the baby skin-to-skin right after he was delivered. This is perhaps one of the best experiences a father can have. Well, except for those who can't stand the sight of blood.

Talking about his child's surrogate mother, the TV star revealed that she was incredible. He said;

"I worked with an incredible surrogate [...] She was in California. Surrogacy is illegal in so many states, including New York. I don't understand why. It's a voluntary process, obviously. My surrogate just viewed it as she was giving me the ultimate gift. She gave me life. So I'll be forever indebted to her."

Cohen also stated that he has plans to introduce his son and Wacha, saying:

"Wacha has not met Benjamin yet. I want to get Benjamin acclimated to the space and get us acclimated to everything."

In the early hours of the day, an endearing picture surfaced on Wacha's timeline featuring the puppy trying so hard to see through the bars of Benjamin's crib.

The caption read, "Checking on my little brother!"

What a truly happy family!
