Charlamagne tha God is worried for Wendy Williams, hopes she leaves husband after abuse allegations
TV and radio personality Lenard McKelvey, best known as Charlamagne tha God, sent a message to Wendy Williams amid rumors that her husband is abusive.
Charlamagne and Wendy worked together in “The Wendy Williams Experience,” the radio show Wendy had before signing a contract with BET. Even though they were considered “sidekicks,” Charlamagne stopped working for the lady in November 2008.
At that point, Wendy said it was a matter of company downsizing, but the “Breakfast Club” host released a book titled “Black Privilege” wherein he revealed that a bad business with Kevin Hunter, Wendy’s husband, caused the firing.
WENDY SEEN IN HER SHOW FOR THE LAST TIME
December 20 was the last time she appeared on her show. On that day, she had a “less than stellar” performance. She apologized on Instagram and blamed pain medication for a fractured shoulder and Graves’ disease.
Now that two months have passed, several rumors have surrounded the TV host’ life. Even though the official version suggests that she is still recovering, people who have worked with her believe that something else might be happening.
PEOPLE’S REMARKS ABOUT WENDY AND KEVIN'S RELATIONSHIP
Charlamagne, for instance, pointed out hat Kevin was a “terrible human being” and that he hoped Wendy “wakes up before one day she doesn’t wake up,” suggesting that she might be facing domestic violence.
As Page Six reported, people who used to work for Wendy in the radio show revealed some worrisome incidents between the couple. They say she allegedly feared Kevin’s wrath as she would hide in the bathroom whenever Kevin was around and go out only when the man left.

Apart from that, Kevin would take her to a private room wherein they would argue out loud. “You’d hear slaps or some type of tussling going on,” pointed out the source.

Another person allegedly saw Kevin being aggressive toward Williams at a nightclub in 2007. The couple left the place and, once they were in their vehicle, the man supposedly punched Wendy in the back seat. Kevin hit Wendy’s mouth so hard that “there was blood everywhere,” the person told Page Six.

MORE RUMORS ABOUT THEM
It is not the only rumor surrounding the couple, though. In December 2018, Love B. Scott reported that Sharina Hudson, Kevin’s alleged mistress of ten years, might be pregnant. Apart from that, they said that Wendy and Kevin were planning to get divorced “sometime now that Kevin Jr. has gone college.”

It is important to remark the couple has not confirmed or denied any of the previous rumors. The last official aspect known about Wendy and Kevin is that they are “all good” and their passion “is still there,” as Nick Cannon, who guest-hosted the “Wendy Williams Show,” shared during a segment of it.
NICK CANNON’S CONVERSATION WITH WENDY
The father-of-three confessed that his conversation with Wendy turned emotional when they discussed her health issues, mainly because he also has first-hand experience dealing with an autoimmune condition like Graves’ disease.
“It’s day by day, y’all. You know, you one day could be a strong day and the next day you can’t even get out of bed,” [sic] he added.
