Meghan Markle had an intimate baby shower this week, and all her close ones were in attendance. Albeit one noticeable guest decided to miss the celebration; her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton.

A new baby will soon be welcomed into the shores of the royal family, and in anticipation, the Duchess of Sussex decided to celebrate the nearing arrival of her child with her loved ones.

Her guests were camped at The Mark hotel which rents out a £60,000-per-night penthouse suite that features five bedrooms, four fireplaces, six bathrooms, and two powder rooms. The cozy suite was parked with paparazzi as they captured notable appearances at the scene.

One face that most were looking forward to seeing, however, did not show up. The Duchess of Cambridge was noticeably absent at her sister-in-law's baby shower not because of any beef, but because she had other pressing family businesses of her own to attend.

It is the holiday season which means her two older children are out of school. Prince George and Princess Charlotte are on their half-term break; this makes it the perfect time for the Cambridges to enjoy a relaxed school holiday, away from the claws of the media.

It's also rumored that the family is in the middle of somewhere skiing, along with Prince Louis.

Famous stars who are no doubt dear to Meghan were spotted at the hotel. Amal Clooney, Serena Williams who was the one who orchestrated the whole shower, Abigail Spencer, Jessica Mulroney, Taryn Toomey, Misha Nonoo and makeup artist Daniel Martin all weathered the snow to celebrate Meghan's journey into motherhood.

It seems like this shower is mainly for her American heartthrobs. It is reported that the Duchess will be having another shower in the UK and this one will be graced by Kate and Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland.
