Queen Latifah Flaunts Her Youthful Beauty and Curves in Figure-Hugging Black Dress in Pic
Queen Latifah recently put her curves on display at the Oscars in a flattering dress. The rap legend is also sharing how, despite a busy schedule, she manages to remain youthful.
The 91st Academy Awards have come and gone, but we can’t help spotlighting Queen Latifah and her classy look, plus how radiant she looks at 48.
The rapper/actress turned up last Sunday on the Oscars red carpet in a long-sleeved black dress with glittering patterns and sheer paneling across the cleavage. She paired her outfit with a black clutch and light jewelry and wore her hair in a tight bun, leaving tiny wisps by the side.
Latifah (birth name, Dana Elaine Owens) looked younger than her age, and with mostly-nude makeup save for a smokey eye, her skin glowed at its best.
HEALTH COMES FIRST
AOL.com recently caught up with the Grammy winner and asked how she manages to achieve a healthy balance despite all her commitments.
She currently stars on Fox's hit series "Star" and just embarked on an affordable housing project, but Latifah still finds the time to turn heads on award show red carpets.
“It really starts with your health,” she said. “Take care of yourself, get your annual checkups. Talk to your doctor about how you're feeling physically, emotionally.”
The “Set It off” actress also emphasized the importance of taking a break.
“Check in with yourself, give yourself a break when you need it as much as you can. Going 24 hours just because is not the point. …For me, I have to have my spiritual enlightenment. …that's just church and hearing some gospel music and kind of checking in on a spiritual level.”
OSCARS: A SUBTLE MOVE?
Despite admitting that the “season of awards” can be exhausting, Latifah revealed this year’s Oscars “was actually a really fun night.”
The "U.N.I.T.Y." rapper introduced one of the big night’s nominees, “The Favourite,” a move that NYLON.com believes is calculated and highly significant.
Not only is the main character in “The Favourite” a queen, but she also carries on a secret affair with her female subjects.
LATIFAH'S SEXUALITY DEBATE
Latifah has been the subject of gay speculations for almost the entire duration of her career but continues to remain mum on the subject.
She reportedly once told The New York Times:
“I don’t care if people think I’m gay or not. Assume whatever you want. You do it anyway.”
BABY ON THE WAY?
Latifah’s longtime rumored partner Eboni Nichols was spotted with a baby bump and an engagement ring late last year, prompting speculations that she and the rapper were engaged and expecting a baby.
As always, Latifah refused to comment on the development and fans may never know if the youthful Latifah is about to become a mommy or not.
