In the midst of a relaxing time in Miami, Diddy paused and paid tribute to the singer whose life unexpectedly ended last year at the age of 47. Diddy expressed how much he missed him by sharing a photo of him with the caption, “We love you and miss you Craig. BAD BOY 4 LIFE.”

Mack is best known for his 1994 hit, “Flava In Ya Ear” which also spawned a popular remix featuring The Notorious B.I.G., LL Cool J, and Busta Rhymes. He was signed under Diddy’s Bad Boy Entertainment.

Prior to his death, he began shooting a documentary about his life titled "When God Comes" which centered on a controversy regarding his church’s minister, Ralph Gordon Stair. Stair was arrested on sexual assault charges in December 2017 and Mack was allegedly one of the people he took advantage of.

After his death, Diddy tweeted a heartfelt message grateful to Mack for believing in him.

"Craig Mack, you were the first artist to release music on Bad Boy and gave us our first hit," he tweeted. "You always followed your heart and you had an energy that was out of this world. You believed in me and you believed in Bad Boy. I will never forget what you did for hip-hop."

Mack wasn’t the only rapper Diddy paid tribute to this week. While in Miami, he commemorated another important person’s death on his anniversary. The Notorious B.I.G. died 22 years ago from a drive-by shooting and Diddy made sure to keep his memory alive with three tributes and calling him “The greatest rapper of all time.” Moreover, he took the stage with Nas in Miami hotspot E11EVEN and performed the late rapper’s hits.

Incidentally, Diddy sparked dating rumors while celebrating on “Biggie Day” in Miami. A clip of the rapper listening to reggae music surfaced and revealed Lori Harvey in his vicinity. It was all the evidence people needed to raise questions about the two, though they were in no way touching each other during the event. Lori was recently rumored to be dating Diddy’s son, Justin Combs which adds to the confusion.
