Cardi B won the Hip-Hop Artist of the Year trophy at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards and sent in a video with her acceptance speech.
The always irreverent Cardi B delivered a very unusual acceptance speech at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles.
The rapper couldn't be at the awards, but she taped and sent in a video of her extremely unusual acceptance speech.
"I'm sorry iHeartRadio that I wasn't able to make it. You know I'm busy doing a couple things, but I just want to say thank you so much."
14 NOMINATIONS AT THE iHEARTRADIO AWARDS
Cardi B dominated the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards with a total of 14 nominations, of which she won two.
Cardi took home the Hip-Hop Artist of the Year Award and Best Collaboration Award for "Finesse," the song she recorded with Bruno Mars.
Cardi B lost out for Best Song to Maren Morris and Zedd who won for their collaboration, "The Middle"

Cardi B thanked iHeartRadio for her awards, and then went on to thank all her critics and detractors for goading her into becoming a better artist:
"You know, I gotta thank my haters, you know what I'm saying. Y'all be saying mean things and y'all be thinking those mean things is gonna discourage me, but that just makes me go harder because if everybody gives compliments, I get comfortable. So I go harder, thank you!"

At the end of her speech, Cardi B savored the sweet taste of victory by licking her award, a surprise move that had her fans in stitches.
The rapper wore a sassy Chanel outfit with a button-down shirt and a short skirt, topped by a cheeky black leather beret.
A BIG NIGHT FOR CARDI B
The awards were yet another confirmation of the rapper's sterling talent and saw her nominated for song of the Year for "Girls Like You" with Maroon 5, Female Artist of the Year, Best Collaboration Hip-Hop Song of the Year, R&B Song of the Year, Best Fan Army, and Best Music Video
