Trump Calls Late John Mccain ‘Horrible’ despite War Hero’s Daughter Asking Him to Stop
Even with his passing last year, the late Senator John McCain is not immune to the constant criticism by President Donald Trump despite pleas from McCain’s daughters to just let it rest.
President Trump criticized John McCain once more saying,
“He was horrible, what he did with repeal and replace. What he did to the Republican party and to the nation, and to sick people that could’ve had great health care was not good.”
Trump also said,
“I was never a fan of John McCain, and I never will be.”
Senator John McCain had seven children. Doug and Andy whom he adopted with his first wife Carol, with whom he eventually had a daughter, Sidney. In his second marriage to Cindy Lou Hensley, he had Meghan, Jimmy, and Jack, and finally, Bridget, who joined their family after Cindy brought her back from Bangladesh for medical attention.
In the light of the most recent attacks of the president against her father, Bridget, who has been the most private of the McCain brood, has decided to speak up and defend her late dad.
Proud big sister Meghan, co-host on The View, said,
“Bridget for the first time ever has decided she wanted to speak out.”
The youngest McCain took to Twitter addressing Trump saying,
“ @realDonaldTrump Everyone doesn’t have to agree with my dad or like him, but I do ask you to be decent and respectful. If you can’t do those two things, be mindful. We only said goodbye to him almost seven months ago.”
She continued,
“Even if you were invited to my dad’s funeral, you would have only wanted to be there for the credit and not for any condolences. Unfortunately, you could not be counted on to be courteous, as you are a child in the most important role the world knows.”
Senator John McCain was found to have an aggressive form of brain cancer called glioblastoma in 2017. Most patients with this illness have a low survival rate and given less than a year and a half to live after detection. He passed away on August 25, 2018.
His wife Cindy is still grieving with her children. She recently posted a photo with her late husband saying,
“@meghanmccain sent this to me. I just love it”
