CBS Renews 'Blue Bloods' for 10th Season

Tom Selleck has signed a one-year renewal deal to keep the stalwart crime procedural drama "Blue Bloods" on the air for another year.

"Blue Bloods" is one of the network's top performers and currently holds the spot as the eighth most-watched show in all of broadcast TV. CBS President Kelly Kahl said:

“Blue Bloods has been a top-10 drama and Friday’s top-rated show every year it’s been on the air. We are delighted that Tom will return and that the show will continue to be a vital component of the CBS schedule next season.”

Apart from serving as the show's executive producer, Selleck also portrays the part of New York Police Commissioner Frank Reagan.

He is supported by Donnie Wahlberg in the role of Detective Daniel "Danny" Fitzgerald Reagan, as well as Bridget Moynahan, who was cast as ADA Erin Reagan.

The cast also consists of Will Estes, Sami Gayle, Marisa Ramirez, and Vanessa Ray. While their contracts are still being negotiated, it's expected that all of them will return.

The renewal of "Blue Bloods" follows shortly after CBS confirmed NCIS's 17th season. Lead actor and executive producer Mark Harmon signed the contract.

Other shows that made the cut this week include "Young Sheldon," "Mom," "Criminal Minds," The Neighborhood," and "Magnum P.I."
