‘Young and The Restless’ Star Kelly Kruger Announces Her Pregnancy

Actress Kelly Kruger, best known as Mackenzie Browning in “The Young and The Restless,” revealed that she and her husband Darin Brooks are expecting their first child.

Kruger, who married Brooks in a beautiful wedding ceremony in Hawaii in March 2016, told People that they tried to conceive for about a year and, once they finally learned about the pregnancy, they “couldn’t be more excited.”

She pointed out that it didn’t feel real yet except for the morning sickness, fatigue, and changes in her body. The actress also said that growing a baby in her body that is half her and half Brooks gets her very emotional.

Brooks, the actor known as Wyatt Spencer in “The Bold and The Beautiful,” also shared his thoughts on his upcoming role as a father.

“Kelly’s been truly amazing through this whole process! She’s been filming and working through it all, which is incredible! And just the strength and energy she has had to be the bearer of this new little life form is inspiring!”

He added that while the pregnancy was challenging, it was “definitely worth it” as it brought the couple closer. Brooks finished saying that he and Kelly couldn’t wait to meet “little me or Kelly!” The baby is expected to be born in September.

THEIR WEDDING

The couple tied the knot on March 21 in a gorgeous French-inspired wedding at the Halekulani Hotel in Oahu, Hawaii. They met each other while working the original "Blue Mountain State" show and started dating in 2010.

Four years later, they got engaged in Paris. Kruger revealed that the first trip they took together was to Paris, so the French city was the perfect destination for Brooks to ask for her hand in marriage.

For the ceremony, Kruger chose a strapless blush Inbal Dror wedding dress that featured delicate pearls. In the reception, she rocked a sexy and elegant Berta Bridal gown that made Brooks fall in love once again.
