Wendy William's Husband Kevin Hunter Reportedly 'Fired as Her Manager' Amid Divorce
Last Thursday, television host Wendy Williams served her husband of nearly 22 years divorce papers at her TV studio in Manhattan. Now reports state that she’s also fired him as her manager.
According to "Daily Mail," he was also kicked out of their home and forced to look for another place to stay.
HUNTER’S MISTRESS’ CAR TOWED
A day after, Wendy Williams, 54, served her husband, Kevin Hunter, 47, with divorce papers a $215,000-plus gold Ferrari Portofino was seen being towed away. The car was allegedly a gift that Hunter gave his mistress Sharina Hudson, 33.
A Ferrari dealership from Greenwich, Connecticut, was photographed picking up the golden car while two men looked on. The men appeared to be Hunter’s helpers.
WILLIAMS FIRES HUSBAND AS MANAGER
Hunter has since been fired as an executive producer on his wife's show. Williams also fired him as her manager while kicking him out of their Livingston, New Jersey home.
HUNTER KICKED OUT OF HOME
A source said the television host gave him 48 hours to remove his belongings from their marital home. On Tuesday, Williams was seen apartment hunting in New York City.
THE REASON FOR THE DIVORCE
The television host finally filed for divorce when she allegedly found out her husband had been dating a decade-long mistress. Hudson gave birth last month at the Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia to his alleged child.
Hunter had spoiled her with a Rolls-Royce, a Ferrari, and diamonds. The insider claimed: “Kevin had expected to stay on at the show and as Wendy's manager. He ran the show with an iron fist, he was the guy who kept the vultures away. But when Wendy saw the photos of him and Sharina last week on the ‘Daily Mail’ going out for dinner and her driving around in a Ferrari she was furious.”
The source continued:
“That's what tipped her over the edge, she was like, "he's gotta go". She now wants him out of her life completely, she's given him 48 hours to clear his office and clear his belongings out of the house.”
WILLIAMS SUPPORTED BY FAMILY AND OTHERS
The insider added:
“Wendy's sister Wanda came up from Florida over the weekend and she's helping get everything in order. Wendy means business, she's cleaning house.”
In a statement “The Wendy Williams Show” said:
“Wendy and her family have been a part of Debmar-Mercury for over 10 years. We respect their privacy regarding personal matters. As always, we remain committed to bringing an entertaining and topical show to our viewers.”
Her personal representative stated:
“Thank you to everyone for respecting the family's privacy during this time. Kevin is supportive of Wendy and they are working through this process together. No additional comment will be provided at this time.”
THE COUPLE MARRIED IN 1997
Williams married Hunter in 1997 and they share a 19-year-old son named Kevin Hunter Jr. In her book “Wendy's Got the Heat,” she made it clear that cheating would be the last straw for their marriage.
WILLIAMS STATES CHEATING WOULD BE THE FINAL STRAW
“The only thing that would make me walk out for good is if he lied about anything – if he was in love, if she was just as successful at what she does as I am in my career, if she had his baby.”
HOST SPEAKS ABOUT MOVING ON
Referring to her recovery from cocaine addition, the star continued:
"I'm moving out of the sober house in just a few days, you know. It'll be Wendy on her own. I have to tell you, you know, I've been dealing with issues with addiction, alcoholism, and I have a whole new life that I planned for myself and my son."
On Tuesday, Hunter released a statement which read: “28 years ago I met an amazing woman: Wendy Williams. At the time, I didn't realize that she would not only become my wife, but would also change the face of entertainment and the world.”
The message continued:
“I have dedicated most of our lives to the business empire that is Wendy Williams Hunter, a person that I truly love and respect unconditionally.”
Hunter further stated:
“I am not proud of my recent actions and take full accountability and apologize to my wife, my family and her amazing fans. I am going through a time of self-reflection and am trying to right some wrongs.”
“No matter what the outcome is or what the future holds, we are still The Hunter Family and I will continue to work with and fully support my wife in this business and through any and all obstacles she may face living her new life of sobriety, while I also work on mine. I ask that you please give me and my family privacy as we heal. Thank you.”
