In light of the Easter season, Former President Barack Obama penned a heartfelt message greeting everyone a “Happy Easter,” which he posted on Twitter on Sunday.

Obama’s Tweet was precisely what everyone wanted to hear on Easter Sunday, as it was far more than just a greeting, but an invitation to “recommit to love and serve our brothers and sisters, especially those in need.”

Included in the post was a family photo with his wife, former First Lady Michelle Obama, his two daughters, Sasha and Malia, and their dog’s Bo and Sunny. The beautiful photo captured their family in front of a fully-bloomed cherry blossom tree, that added color to the portrait.

Obama can be seen wearing a gray suit, with his arms around his youngest child and his wife. The three girls wore colorful Sunday dresses, which stood out in the photo.

Twitter users responded to the former president’s tweet with kind words and greetings, and others calling him to run for presidency again. One tweet read:

“This is Leadership and Humanity we miss so much. Thank you and Happy Easter to All!”

Another read:

“Happy Easter to the best president of my lifetime, his family and the American people."

A hand full of the tweets were begging him to come back, including one that had a photo of a cap with the line “MAKE OBAMA PRESIDENT AGAIN.” Another user even responded asking if the cap was for sale.

Similarly, President Donald Trump also tweeted an Easter greeting on Sunday, followed by a post regarding the terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka, saying “we stand ready to help!”

The first family’s agenda for Easter Sunday included attending service at the Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea, where Trump and his wife, Melania, were married in 2005.

Obama does not often tweet, compared to Trump at least; but when he does, it is always full of compassion and substance, hence the many positive replies. He recently tweeted in light of the Notre Dame catastrophe that left millions brokenhearted.

In his post, he paid tribute to the magnificent cathedral and the citizens of France who lost an 850-year-old structure and symbol of God’s presence among men. He also urged what happened to be an opportunity to rebuild what was lost of our history.
