Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade are the picture-perfect family in a new photo shared to Instagram from their Easter celebration. The couple’s daughter, Kaavia James, stole the spotlight with her adorable and rarely-seen smile.
Kaavia James just celebrated her first ever Easter Sunday, and she looked adorable posing with her parents in a photo shared by Union on Instagram.
A SMILEY BABY
The trio wore matching white outfits, with Kaavia and Gabby rocking dresses, and Dwyane donning a t-shirt and a hat.
Kaaviawho earned the nickname of “shady baby” for her serious facial expressions and constant side-eye stole the spotlight by offering the camera a rarely-seen smile.
Fans were quick to notice the novelty and filled Union’s comment section gushing about her baby girl.
“What .. she’s smiling ... look at God on this here Easter Sunday,” wrote one user.
Another added, “Awwww The Shady Baby is smiling!!”
And a third one agreed, “Kaavia is just too much. Her gorgeous little face always tells a story. Beautiful photo, Happy & Blessed Easter.”
A BUSY BABY
It’s been a couple of exciting weeks for the Wades.
Gabrielle is on the brink of premiering her new TV series with Jessica Alba, “L.A’s Finest,” while Wade just retired from the NBA after playing his last home game with the Miami Heat on April 10.
Kaavia, the couple’s “miracle baby,” has been there supporting both of her parents on their endeavors.
She stole the show at Wade’s “last dance,” wearing matching red outfits with him and earning chuckles from journalists as Wade gave a press conference post-game.
Kaavia also joined Union as she made press-rounds promoting her series, looking adorable in a black and white striped onesie.
PROUD PARENTS
“I’ve been wanting a daughter my whole life,” Wade recently said on “Good Morning America.” “God didn’t give her to us until this moment, until this time, and it just was so fitting that I had an opportunity, in my career, with me carrying her. So if you see any pictures …we dressed alike!”
Union, on the other hand, recently unveiled her and Kaavia’s first-ever magazine cover, as they appeared on the May issue of Parents.
“Kaavia really is the personification of hope for a lot of people like us, who maybe didn’t have a lot to be hopeful about,” Union said. And continued:
“She represents that maybe there is a light at the end. And when you take people on the low points of your journey, it’s cool to let them be part of the joy. Plus, she’s really cute. And has an uncanny ability for making steely eye contact!”
Gabby and Dwyane also raise his two sons Zion Malachi Airamis, 11, and Zaire Blessing Dwyane, 17, plus his nephew Dahveon Morris, 17. He’s also dad to Xavier Zechariah, 5.
