Ray J Is 'Giving Flowers' to Sister Brandy in Tribute Video
Ray J and Brandy Norwood have one of the best sibling relationships around. The “Love & Hip Hop” star recently got fans emotional after addressing a heartwarming video of gratitude to his R&B icon sister.
Fans of the Norwood siblings will know that both stars are protective of each other, especially big sister Brandy, but a few days ago, it was Ray J who took the initiative to appreciate her.
Filming himself on a private jet, Ray, 38, panned the camera to Brandy and some other people who appeared to be in a meeting several seats from him.
Her accomplishments, which also include songwriting and acting, no doubt provided a platform for her little brother
“I got my sister in the back, helping us push the company,” Ray began, referring to his Tech business, RayCon Global.
He continued:
“I appreciate her for everything she’s done for me, for the team, and for just giving me a shot to become better at my craft and what I do. If you got a sibling out there, if you got somebody real close to you that you call brother or sister, give them their flowers now, while they’re here. Brandy, I’m giving you your flowers right now while you’re here with us.”
Ray also pointed out that his sister had "over-achieved" in everything she set out to do and opened up some of the biggest doors for the entire family.
“I’m giving you your flowers right now, B; while you’re here with us, while we’re loving you, while we can see you, while we can experience your laughter and your love," he added. "These flowers are for you, B, and I love you- Little Bro."
Brandy’s career took off to a great start in her teens, and her accomplishments, which also include songwriting and acting, no doubt provided a platform for her little brother Ray [birth name William Ray Norwood Jr].
The singer/reality star’s gesture warmed many hearts across social media and folks shared their thoughts in the comment section.
“Awww RayJ That’s so Sweet,” wrote one Instagram user.
“You know what they call me, so you need to chill. Get off his page. - Ray J's sister.”
“This was so beautiful!!! She’s truly one of a kind!” gushed another. “I love y’all relationship! It’s the real deal.”
Brandy has also always displayed her unconditional love and support for her brother. Last November, when an online troll decided to come for Ray and rubbish his music career, the 40-year-old “Never Say Never” singer came to her brother’s defense.
While Ray took a more relaxed approach to the troll saying nobody takes him seriously with music, Brandy was not so nice.
“You will take him seriously. I promise you that,” she retorted before threatening: “You know what they call me, so you need to chill. Get off his page. - Ray J's sister.”
