Little Prince Louis Turns One-Year-Old Today (Photos)

April 23 is a special day for Prince William and his wife Duchess Kate because their last born is turning one! The news was shared on Instagram with three new images of the birthday boy.

Prince Louis was photographed by his mother earlier in the month and the cute images were shared on the Kensington Palace Instagram page.

Prince William and Duchess Kate shared three images of their 1-year-old son, Prince Louis enjoying the outdoors. In the first two photos, the little Royal was pictured wearing a red sweater designed by Amaia with buttons on the shoulders.

The birthday boy wore the sweater over a bodysuit with a Peter Pan collar. He kept warm by wearing navy blue shorts and knee socks by the same children’s brand.

His two tiny teeth were visible in the images as the little boy smiled broadly. For his first picture, the Royal was photographed sitting on the ground.

In the second image, Louis was photographed trying to reach out for the camera with grass on his sweater. The third photograph showed the Royal in a new outfit.

He wore a blue sweater from Trotters with a puppy design on the front as he was pictured staring into the lens. The last time the Royal family shared images of little Louis was last year for their Christmas card.

The photo was captioned: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to share a new photograph of their family.” It further read:

“The photograph, taken by Matt Porteous, shows The Duke and Duchess with their three children at Anmer Hall, and features on Their Royal Highnesses’ Christmas card this year.”

At the time Prince Louis had worn a pale blue sweater as he smiled in his mother’s arms. His older siblings, Prince George, 5, and Princess Charlotte, 3, also featured in the picture.

A source had this to say about Louis, “He really is the most cheerful, smiley little boy – he’s always so happy and content.” The photos were taken at the family’s country home in Norfolk, Anmer Hall.

Louis also received a sweet message from his uncle and aunt, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, from their personal Instagram account. The latest images show that Royal children are allowed to just be children.

The carefree nature of Louis in the photos reveals how the parents aren’t Royal and regal all the time.
