Ex-Miss Uruguay Found Dead in Mexico City Hotel
A former Miss Uruguay pageant winner was found dead in a Mexico City hotel on Thursday morning. Her death is being treated as suspicious.
City prosecutors revealed that a Uruguayan woman was found hanged in the bathroom of a guest room. She was later identified as Fatimih Davila Sosa.
Davila is a former Miss Uruguay pageant winner in 2006. She was working as a model around the world and was in Mexico for business.
Officials said she had arrived in Mexico City on April 23 for a supposed job interview. There has been no official ruling on her death.
The prosecutor's office said a homicide investigation is underway. The investigation aims to find out the circumstances surrounding the hanging and whether the woman killed herself or was slain by someone.
"May you rest in peace, sister of my soul. I hope you will find the peace you were looking for. It hurts me too much that you are not here but if this is what you decided and I respect your decision. I will always love you and carry it in my heart. We will meet at some point. I love you." wrote fellow model Johana Riva on Instagram.
