Meghan Markle's Brother Speaks up after Birth of the Royal Baby

Meghan Markle's brother revealed that he is happy to be an uncle, and hopes that the newborn baby boy of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan would help bring their estranged family back together.

Tom Markle Jr. decided to sit down with Sun Online for an exclusive interview on his thoughts regarding his sister's newborn son. Of course, Tom shared that he is over-the-moon about the news, and congratulated his sister on her child.

However, while he is happy for the Royal couple, he asks his sister to reach out to their father, Thomas Markle Sr., who is allegedly "terrified" that he might never be able to meet his grandchild.

"Congratulations, I'm very happy for you both and I hope this baby will bring you all the joy in the world."

Their baby boy is now seventh in line to the British throne and was born at 5:26 AM of May 7, 2019. He weighs 7 pounds and 3 ounces and was a week overdue.

Today is #earthday - an opportunity to learn about, celebrate and continue to safeguard our planet, our home. The above, Their Royal Highnesses in Rotorua, New Zealand. Of the 170 different species originally planted in the early 1900’s, only a handful of species, including these majestic Redwoods, remain today. Next, we invite you to scroll through a series of 8 photos taken by The Duke of Sussex©️DOS sharing his environmental POV including: Africa’s Unicorn, the rhino. These magnificent animals have survived ice ages and giant crocodiles, amongst other things! They have adapted to earth’s changing climate continually for over 30 million years. Yet here we are in 2019 where their biggest threat is us. A critical ecosystem, Botswana’s Okavango Delta sustains millions of people and an abundance of wildlife. Huge bush fires, predominantly started by humans, are altering the entire river system; the ash kills the fish as the flood comes in and the trees that don’t burn become next year’s kindling. Desert lions are critically endangered due partly to human wildlife conflict, habitat encroachment and climate change. 96% of mammals on our 🌍 are either livestock or humans, meaning only 4% remaining are wild animals. Orca and Humpback whale populations are recovering in Norway thanks to the protection of their fisheries. Proof that fishing sustainably can benefit us all. Roughly 3/4 of Guyana is forested, its forests are highly diverse with 1,263 known species of wildlife and 6,409 species of plants. Many countries continue to try and deforest there for the global demand for timber. We all now know the damage plastics are causing to our oceans. Micro plastics are also ending up in our food source, creating not just environmental problems for our planet but medical problems for ourselves too. When a fenced area passes its carrying capacity for elephants, they start to encroach into farmland causing havoc for communities. Here @AfricanParksNetwork relocated 500 Elephants to another park within Malawi to reduce the pressure on human wildlife conflict and create more dispersed tourism. Every one of us can make a difference, not just today but every day. #earthday

A rekindled family?

Meghan's 53-year-old brother hopes that the arrival of his nephew might finally be the reason their family gets along, as Meghan and her dad have not spoken since Meghan's wedding to Prince Harry.

"I'm hoping that becoming a mother will open up her eyes and shed light on what family means. Maybe she will see the importance of family now - and open up to my dad and let him be part of the baby's life."

Today marks the 70th anniversary of the modern Commonwealth - a family of 53 countries working together to promote democracy, protect human rights, regenerate the environment, and focus not on what makes us different - but rather what we have in ‘common.’ What unites us versus what divides us. Representing nearly one third of the world’s population, 60% of whom are under the age of 30, the Commonwealth also serves as a champion for youth empowerment, which is a key focus of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Her Majesty The Queen serves as patron of the @queens_commonwealth_trust, which Their Royal Highnesses proudly serve as President and Vice-President of. The Duke is also Commonwealth Youth Ambassador. Through The Duke and Duchess’ Commonwealth travels, they have worked with and supported young leaders on mobilizing youth engagement, and working towards a more unified future that spearheads progress, sustainability, optimism, and taking action. With that said, Mozambique, a member state of the Commonwealth, is currently enduring Cyclone Kenneth, the most destructive natural disaster the northern coast has ever experienced. On the heels of Cyclone Idai (where over 1000 people lost their lives) this cyclone will leave the people of Mozambique victim to catastrophic flooding, food insecurity, displacement, and obliteration of their homes and villages. Tom hopes that the Royal couple invites him and the rest of their family into the hospital room where they are currently in, and asks Meghan not to be unfair.

"Usually that's what happens - everybody crowds into the hospital room to see the new addition to the family - we'd love that. I think everybody should be invited over to see the new baby. Hopefully she won't be unfair and withhold him from everybody - I hope she'll reach out and make the baby a part of everybody's life."

Samantha Markle's accusations

While Tom is delighted to be an uncle, Meghan's sister Samantha has yet to say her piece. This is highly unlikely following the wild accusation she threw at her half-sister in October 2018, saying that her relationship with her mother is fake.

According to Samantha Markle, Meghan only started becoming close to her mother when the press started asking, and it was their father, Thomas Markle who raised the ex-actress. Her now-private tweets read:

“We spoke out because she ghosted the whole family, both sides of the family. Get your facts straight. Dad pretty much raised her most of her life on his own and Doria was not around very much Doria might be her best friend now because she ghosted her friend of 30 years. Nikki [Ninaki] Priddy… You have no idea what is going on behind the scenes. She ignored my father through a heart attack there is no excuse for it. You would be mentally ill to think that is OK. Maybe you were the one who needs counselling”

However, after a while, Samantha ended up apologizing to her sister and stopped getting the press' attention since then.

Thanks to these open interviews that the entire Markle family has been giving, it has been a whole lot more difficult for them to get a hold of the Royal family. It's because of their behavior that they are not invited to Royal events, and now people will have to wait and see whether this will remain true with the Royal baby in the world.
