Meghan Markle's brother revealed that he is happy to be an uncle, and hopes that the newborn baby boy of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan would help bring their estranged family back together.

Tom Markle Jr. decided to sit down with Sun Online for an exclusive interview on his thoughts regarding his sister's newborn son. Of course, Tom shared that he is over-the-moon about the news, and congratulated his sister on her child.

However, while he is happy for the Royal couple, he asks his sister to reach out to their father, Thomas Markle Sr., who is allegedly "terrified" that he might never be able to meet his grandchild.

"Congratulations, I'm very happy for you both and I hope this baby will bring you all the joy in the world."

Their baby boy is now seventh in line to the British throne and was born at 5:26 AM of May 7, 2019. He weighs 7 pounds and 3 ounces and was a week overdue.

A rekindled family?

Meghan's 53-year-old brother hopes that the arrival of his nephew might finally be the reason their family gets along, as Meghan and her dad have not spoken since Meghan's wedding to Prince Harry.

"I'm hoping that becoming a mother will open up her eyes and shed light on what family means. Maybe she will see the importance of family now - and open up to my dad and let him be part of the baby's life."

Tom hopes that the Royal couple invites him and the rest of their family into the hospital room where they are currently in, and asks Meghan not to be unfair.

"Usually that's what happens - everybody crowds into the hospital room to see the new addition to the family - we'd love that. I think everybody should be invited over to see the new baby. Hopefully she won't be unfair and withhold him from everybody - I hope she'll reach out and make the baby a part of everybody's life."

Samantha Markle's accusations

While Tom is delighted to be an uncle, Meghan's sister Samantha has yet to say her piece. This is highly unlikely following the wild accusation she threw at her half-sister in October 2018, saying that her relationship with her mother is fake.

According to Samantha Markle, Meghan only started becoming close to her mother when the press started asking, and it was their father, Thomas Markle who raised the ex-actress. Her now-private tweets read:

“We spoke out because she ghosted the whole family, both sides of the family. Get your facts straight. Dad pretty much raised her most of her life on his own and Doria was not around very much Doria might be her best friend now because she ghosted her friend of 30 years. Nikki [Ninaki] Priddy… You have no idea what is going on behind the scenes. She ignored my father through a heart attack there is no excuse for it. You would be mentally ill to think that is OK. Maybe you were the one who needs counselling”

However, after a while, Samantha ended up apologizing to her sister and stopped getting the press' attention since then.

Thanks to these open interviews that the entire Markle family has been giving, it has been a whole lot more difficult for them to get a hold of the Royal family. It's because of their behavior that they are not invited to Royal events, and now people will have to wait and see whether this will remain true with the Royal baby in the world.
