Kim Kardashian Bodyshamed over Her Physique at the Met Gala

Celebrities showed up in a bewildering array of camp-themed outfits for the much anticipated Met Gala this year, however, Kim Kardashian’s “wet look” all but impressed fans.

This year the Kardashian-Jenner clan posed together on the red carpet, with Kanye by Kim’s side at the event for the first time since 2016.

Kanye went for an all-black ensemble with a casual zip-up jacket while Kim wore a corseted nude-colored Thierry Mugler creation with wet hair and dripping crystals that accentuated her small waist.

"This is the first time in 20 years that Mr. Mugler has designed for the House of Thierry Mugler," Kim told E! News. "He hasn't designed in 20 years, so to come and design this gown for me is such an honor. This is about eight months in the making. He just envisioned me this California girl stepping out of the ocean, on the red carpet, wet, dripping, that is the vibe tonight."

However, many netizens expressed their concerns regarding the possible message Kim Kardashian’s outfit sends about beauty and physical appearance as one user commented:

The beauty mogul’s personal trainer, Melissa Alcantara didn’t take kindly to the body-shaming and set the record straight on her Instagram Stories.

Melissa pointed out that Kim, in spite of her busy schedule, gets up early six days a week to train her socks off to stay fit and in shape.

“I don't give **** about your opinions on her body if you think [it's] fake or not! I see her every morning, I see her train, and I see her sweat, and I see all the work she does outside the gym, and THAT is commendable!" she wrote.

While Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian didn’t attend the Met Gala, Kylie Jenner along with her boyfriend, Travis Scott, Kendall Jenner, momager Kris with her longtime boyfriend Corey Gamble, and of course, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West all enjoyed the evening together.

But keyboard warriors were not impressed by their looks either and soon took to social media to mock not only their fashion efforts for the evening but the family as a whole.
