NeNe Leakes' Husband Gregg Asked for Prayers as He Went for Cancer Scan
A month after NeNe Leakes took to social media to congratulate her husband Gregg Leakes on completing six months of chemotherapy, the businessman is asking fans to pray for him as he takes a scan to find out if there is still any cancer in his body.
For about a year now, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” couple has been keeping fans updated with Gregg’s cancer battle, and this time around is no different.
Posting a picture of himself wearing a “Cancer Sucks” cap, the 64-year-old revealed he would be getting a scan and asked for prayers from well-wishers.
Battling cancer has taken a toll on the couple’s marriage so much that NeNe is not ruling out divorce, but last month...
“Good Morning, world. I’m asking for your prayers as I take my body scan this [morning] to see if there is any cancer in my body,” Gregg began.
He continued:
“I know I’m healed by the Promises of God, by the Blood of Jesus and by your Prayers. I thank you for your prayers all the time and especially today as I take this scan shortly. To God be the glory and may His will take place in heaven and on earth. I go in this morning claiming victory as I don’t know defeat. My God shall supply all my needs.”
This will not be the first time Gregg is reaching out for prayers from fans since opening up about his cancer battle.
In January, he sparked concern after posting a photo of himself looking sickly and revealing that he wasn’t feeling well. “Cancer leave me alone. I bind you in the name of Jesus,” he wrote at the time.
He also shared another post where he asked “prayer warriors” to pray for his “health, family, my wife, my kids, every area.”
Gregg and his reality star wife first went public with news of his cancer diagnosis last June, but it wasn’t until the Season 11 premiere of “RHOA” in November that NeNe got specific and revealed it was stage 3 colon cancer.
Battling cancer has taken a toll on the couple’s marriage so much that NeNe is not ruling out divorce, but last month, she set aside their troubles to congratulate Gregg for completing six months of chemotherapy.
“Awesome job hunni! I’m so happy for you and the strength you showed during this difficult time in your life!” the 51-year-old wrote alongside several videos of Gregg celebrating with his medical team.
Here’s wishing Gregg victory in his fight against cancer.
