The hit television series, “Beverly Hills, 90210” is coming back for a reboot and fans can’t wait to watch. Fox’s recently released a promotional video of the cast coming together and sharing laughs over script reviews, including the set date of its premiere on August 7.

The original cast of the hit series will still be on the show, including Gabrielle Carteris, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Brian Austin Green, Jason Priestley, Tori Spelling, and Ian Ziering, except for Luke Perry who passed away in March.

“It’s about the characters behind the characters,” Garth told Entertainment Weekly. “It’s inside the lives of people that lived in those shoes for those 10 years, and it’s about them coming back together.”

Priestley also commented about the video they shot together after 25 years, calling it a special moment. He shared that the cast had difficulty finishing the clip as none of them could focus and were instead just messing around.

The show, although without Perry, will pay homage to him during the revival, despite the late actor not getting to sign up for the reboot before he died.

Perry died at age 52 after a massive stroke caused complications and traumatized his brain. He was in the hospital for about a week before his passing on March 4, only a few days after the revival was confirmed.

Stars of “Beverly Hills, 90210” were all devastated upon hearing the news, especially his on-screen lover, Doherty who expressed her sadness on Instagram.

“Yesterday morning I got a phone call that devastated me. I’m struggling with this loss and am having a hard time with my thoughts. But, my heart goes out to his family and friends who were blessed by his light in their (and mine) lives. Processing this is impossible right now,” she shared.

Other friends, family, and colleagues paid homage to the late actor through social media posts sharing happy memories with the star and expressing their sympathy with the family.
