Gladys Knight & Husband William McDowell Share Dance at Her 75th Birthday Party

Gladys Knight and her husband flaunted impressive dance skills during her recent 75th birthday celebration. A video of the romantic couple's moment on the dance floor reveals how in sync they both are.

Gladys Knight had every reason to celebrate her 75th birthday. She was surrounded by friends and family and her loving husband who shared a romantic dance with her that day.

CELEBRATING 75

Knight featured photos of her birthday celebration held at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa on her Instagram and expressed her gratitude for all the love she received that day.

“Thank you to everyone who helped me celebrate another birthday! Your love has filled me up tremendously,” she wrote to caption a series of photos that revealed some of her guests for the occasion. It appeared to have been a weekend affair as Gladys shared photos from the daytime as well as from a nighttime party at a ballroom.

Gladys didn’t miss a step while her younger husband was quite the dancer himself. The two blended beautifully as guests watched in delight what appeared to be a choreographed number, or so it seemed.

IN SYNC

The highlight of her post was a clip of her and her husband, William McDowell on the dance floor. The couple showed off their impressive dance skills as they entertained the crowd with a sweet dance performance accompanied by a live band.

Gladys and William, her fourth husband, have been married since 2001 and they share 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Gladys didn’t miss a step while her younger husband was quite the dancer himself. The two blended beautifully as guests watched in delight what appeared to be a choreographed number, or so it seemed. They occupied the whole dance floor and made it evident this was something both of them loved to do.

DOTING GRANDMA

Gladys and William, her fourth husband, have been married since 2001 and they share 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. One of them cuddled with the Empress of Soul during her birthday celebration. The doting great-grandmother shared an adorable clip of her carrying a baby she introduced as her great-grandson. She was clearly happy to be spending time with him as she captioned the clip,

“There’s no better feeling or gift than this.”

GIVING BACK

Gladys certainly has a lot to be grateful for at 75 which is why she also finds time to give back.

It was reported earlier this year that she and her husband sold their Las Vegas estate to move to Fairview, North Carolina where they now reside. There they launched a community center in nearby Canton where the former Reynolds High School used to be.

The couple purchased the site in 2015 and has now used it to build a center that will provide activities for children, counseling services for victims of drug addiction and will house a computer lab, exercise rooms, an outdoor athletic field, a kitchen, food pantry, and music room.

Gladys has also held benefit concerts there to raise more funds for the project.
