Luke Perry Wears Cowboy Hat in His Final Film 'Once upon a Time in Hollywood' Trailer
Honored in the new trailer of the last movie he starred in, Luke Perry is seen wearing a cowboy hat, and his son made a shocking revelation about his role.
On Tuesday, the fans of the late actor, Luke Perry, caught a glimpse of him in the trailer of his new movie — which is also the last movie he starred in — "Once Upon A Time in Hollywood” on YouTube.
The movie, made by Quentin Tarantino, features an A-list cast of Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and Margot Robbie. The 2 min 35 secs video shows Perry towards the end in a cowboy hat, wearing a stern look.
He plays the character of an actor "Wayne Marauder" who acts as "Scott Lancer" in a western TV series of the same name. In the teaser released in March, the late "Riverdale" star was missing; he got added to the trailer in honor of his memory and his contribution to the movie.
The father-of-two had finished filming his part before he died on March 4, after suffering from a massive stroke. According to "Daily Mail," his son, Jack Perry, said, during an appearance on "Chris Jericho's Podcast," that his father considered his part in the movie as his "Dream role."
The young wrestler revealed that his father told him that if he never starred in another production after the movie, he's happy with it.
Jack equally said Perry got him a role in the movie because he wanted them to be in the same collection of footage, but it's unknown if the young man made it to the final cut.
Young Perry, also spoke about his father at the American Icon Awards. He said his sister, Sophie, and himself are taking one day at a time, and trying to live up to their father's legacy.
The wrestler said the biggest lesson he learned from the actor was to treat people nicely. Jack said his father never lost touch with who he was — that is, a boy who grew up in Ohio without money, and he was always a kind person above everything else.
DiCaprio and Pitt also had beautiful things to say about their deceased castmate. The actors told "Esquire" how they felt when they met him.
The "Titanic" actor said he had a butterfly moment when he saw Perry on set, while the "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" star said he was excited to work with him.
The latter described him as a pleasant, humble, amazing, and committed actor, adding that they had a long conversation that was truly special.
"Once Upon A Time In Hollywood" is the ninth Tarantino movie, and it premieres in the United States on July 26.
