The actor posted a video on Twitter showing the cast sharing a fun moment at what appears to be a work party.

Past rumors about the show’s cancellation have long kept fans on the edge.

He captioned the clip, “Thank you most of all to the #CriminalMinds crew. the reason [Keith] is stronger than me is because he and the entire crew have been carrying us on their shoulders for 15 seasons. [You] guys are my best friends and I love you all like family. I want a rematch!”

Wearing the typical dark suit and shaggy hair of his character, Gubler is shown in the clip arm-wrestling with a crew member. He loses that match.

The video ends with a Photoshopped tombstone that reads: “Matthew Gray Gubler, 1980-2016.” A funeral dirge plays in the background.

The actor has played Dr. Spencer Reid on “Criminal Minds” for almost 15 years now. With the final season’s finale soon happening, Gubler thought it fitting to say goodbye and thank the show’s cast and fans. The show is ending its long run with a 10-episode season.

Gubler also uploaded a large group photo showing the cast, crew, and producers of the hit CBS series. He captioned the photo with three red heat emojis.

CBS has not announced a premiere date for the last season yet. Gubler stars in the show alongside Paget Brewster, Aisha Tyler, and Kirsten Vangness, among others.

OUTLASTING OTHER CHARACTERS

Unlike other stars who appeared on the show (Shemar Moore and Mandy Maptinkin, for example), Gubler was in all 15 seasons of the show, appearing in 325 episodes.

Past rumors about the show’s cancellation have long kept fans on the edge. Last year, fans were anxious over the possible cancellation of the series after Season 13.

The riveting series pits a team of FBI profilers against a different serial killer each week.
