John Travolta Discusses His Bald Head with Grownup Daughter Ella Bleu
John Travolta and his look-alike daughter appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" where they discussed his bald head while revealing some father-daughter secrets.
John Travolta and his daughter, Ella Bleu, are Hollywood royalty and colleagues. They recently appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" to promote their movie "Poison Rose" and had a fascinating conversation with the guest host, Lena Waithe.
Waithe kicked off the discussion with Travolta's bald head; after commenting on their uncanny resemblance and referring to them as a "beautiful father-daughter duo," she referenced the Instagram photo of his bald head, and asked how the actor feels about losing his "mane of hair."
Before he could answer, Ella jumped in, saying she thinks it's great and loves the look on her father. Travolta picked up from there, saying the transition was not difficult. He referenced the 2010 movie "From Paris With Love," in which he went bald, chipping in the fact that he is friends with Pitbull.
The "Face-off" star said that it was not a shock to his family and friends, as they encouraged it. He added that he is comfortable with the look, and it's easier to maintain.
The discussion moved on to other topics, and Ella revealed that she lost her first tooth on a boat with Oprah. She also spoke on growing up on movie sets, as both her parents — her mother is Kelly Preston — are in Hollywood.
The young actress equally remembered getting embarrassed by her father in front of "Twilight" star, Taylor Lautner. She revealed that her father told Lautner when he came to visit that she researched him online, calling it her most embarrassing experience so far.
In his defense, Travolta said he thought the young man would be flattered, but it felt awkward instead.
The father-daughter duo then spoke on their new movie "Poison Rose." The actor revealed that after Ella turned 18 last year, she told him she was ready to act again, and shortly after, the script came up.
The young actress has shown that she is on her way to becoming her person. In 2017, she starred in the movie, "The Life and Death of John Gotti."
Recently, the 19-year-old joined Instagram, and within 24 hours, she had tens of thousands of followers. She informed her fans that she was excited to join social media and share her journey with them.
It is a big move for the actress who attends the Church of Scientology with her parents, and according to Tony Ortega, an expert on the church, it is a big move for her as children of celebrities who are members of the church are expected to keep a low profile.
Ella was born in April 2000, in California; she has two brothers — Jett and Benjamin Travolta — and from all indications, she is going to be in the spotlight for a long time.
