On an interview with E!, Former “Today” host, Kathie Lee Gifford, shared about Hoda Kotb’s happiness and joy with her eldest daughter, Haley Joy, and new adopted newborn, Hope Catherine. She revealed the “profound” conversations Kotb has with her daughter, whom she called brilliant.
The former host also revealed the opposite energy the sisters have, given that Haley is always up and about while Hope sleeps for five hours. She ended with calling the siblings blessed, as they truly are to have a sweet and caring mother.
Gifford also talked about her 29-year-old son, Cody’s engagement with Erika Brown during the interview, which she revealed on her Instagram account during the Mother’s Day weekend.
“My son is engaged and I couldn’t be happier for him and [Erika],” she captioned the photo of the newly engaged couple sharing a sweet kiss.
Cassidy, Gifford’s daughter, also shared the news on her social media account and welcomed Erika as her sister and expressed her excitement for the couple.
Gifford is deeply loved and adored by her two kids who see their mom as a generous and talented person who always looks out for her kids. They described her as “one of the kindest people on the planet” -- a trait which they got from her.
During their surprise video for Gifford, on her final appearance on “Today,” Cody and Cassidy revealed their late father, Frank Gifford's undying love for his wife, whom he would always praise when on television.
Gifford, although sad over her husband's loss years ago, is open to the possibility of finding love again, leaving it all up to God to bless her with whatever there is.
“If God blesses me again with a new love, I would love it. If he doesn’t, that means he’s gonna satisfy my soul with all kinds of other things. And I don’t know what it looks like,” the former host said.
